I may be misunderstanding... does this mean he's just not participating in the upcoming Japan tour at the end of the year, or does it mean he's literally never going to participate in any Japan activities again, be it album releases or tours... cause that's kinda what it sounds like?

It sucks for J-Ahgases, but I guess between his own solo work and all the different stuff GOT7 does, he needs to cut something out to recuperate when needed? It's a bit odd but I find it understanding. I imagine activities like "Mcountdown in Japan' or Japan stops for Korean tours will be the special occasions he'll participate.

He will only do special events so I'm guessing like last week they did Haijin Tour fanmeet which was for Japanese fans only and he will performed in Japan for concert stops like they had for Fly tour but yes essentially he won't be part of Japanese activities no more.

I feel really bad for him; I didn't know the situation was that bad. I'm glad they're letting him do this for the sake of his health.

Yes they still are OT7. Just cause one member is stepping down from Japan promotions for the sake of his health, that doesn't mean he's leaving the group or that OT7 is fake.

China is a good market for KPOP, C-fans spend a lot of many in their artists.

 

JYP needs Jackson there to promote indirectly GOT7 and also promote the new Chinese boygroup that debuted few days ago.

 

Jackson is not a superman, and tours are tiresome, so JYP will not force him to promote during the Japanese tour

 

JYP will save Jackson's energy for K-promos.

The announcement is understandable. For routine schedules like Zepp tours that last for weeks in Japan in many cities consecutively, it's impossible for Jackson to join, considering his packed schedules in China -- a large number of TV programs there.

 

But for 'special occasions' from time to time, I think he's able to attend, if the schedule is not in conflict with his Chinese shows.

 

It's impossible to participate all the schedules in Korea, China, and Japan at the same time. So JYP might decide for him to primarily focus on Korea and China schedules.

He's talked about some health issues recently (his anemia for one) so it being part of the reason at the very least isn't far fetched in this case. Whether or not there's more to the story, that we don't know.

 

As unfortunate as this is, if he's still able to maintain the rest of got7's activities, then I don't thinkt there should too much to be worried about.
