all of bts's intro, title, and promotion tracks gave been gender neutral since i need u with the exception of 21st century girls, which isnt explicitly romantic and more of an answer to the (correct) criticism of woh to make a better song out of a problematic one. i l o v e i t. lgbt kkngs indeed :-)

I think that came from the FC post that Namjoon posted after the trailer dropped and I don't know if something was mistranslated or maybe he had a had in the production and composition? I'm kind of confused about that myself.

Yeah because the Korean language doesn't really use gendered pronouns, the subject gender is implied by context if it's not outright stated. Most songs Korean lyrics aren't explicitly gendered, it's the english loan words they use.
