Can't Get Over Love O2O HELP!

Night Rain

Recommended Posts

Finished watching Love O2O and officially obsessed. Need to find a new drama to obsessed over

Requirements

- Romance

- Preferably Chinese

- Preferably First Love type of drama like Love O2O.

- Please don't recommend a drama with a female lead that over exaggerates everything and embarrasses herself in every scene

This is the list of dramas I've watched/watching

Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms (LOVE LOVE THIS DRAMA!)

The King's Woman (ALSO LOVE)

Scarlet Heart Ryeo Kr. Version (LOVE)

Boss and Me (Pretty good)

General and I (Good)

My Sunshine (Good)

Lost Love in Times (Goodish)

The Eternal Love (I HATED the female character. Represents exactly the type of female character I avoid. Don't know how I finished. Maybe I was bored and in too deep.)

The imperial doctress (Talks about the first imperial doctress in China's history and the female lead is GREAT, the male lead is Wallace Huo and his acting is amazing, I recommend this drama because I love the poor but strong girl and rich and POWERFUL male lead lol)

The empress of China(Tells the story of Wu Zetian who becomes China's first female emperor, Fan BingBing plays in this and I love her so I watched it but I didn't know I would enjoy this much and furthermore the outfits are AMAZING, there's romance so don't worry about what some websites says)

Love me if you dare (A thriller, romance type of drama it is GOOD but I'm not a big fan of mystery dramas that's why I didn't finished, but the female lead is not annoying and the male lead aka Wallace Huo is GODLIKE there I LOVE him so much >.< ),

The girl wearing tassel earrings ( I don't if you'll like it tbh since the characters are a bit annoying I guess, but imo it's a really cute yet kind of sad drama. The main couple is LIFE, but he mistreats the girl a lot but yet  he loves her so much and try to protect her too. It's kind of like King's Woman but the female lead is weaker but imo she's not annoying and really cute)

I love it when the male lead kind of mistreats the girl, people find it disturbing but imo I find really romantic I don't know why tbh. And that's why I watch a lot of Thai Dramas because those dramas have the best "alpha male lead"

Secret Garden(Poor strong girl and Rich spoiled guy, they change bodies with each other as well which super funny, BTW THIS IS MY FAVORITE DRAMA OF ALL TIME)

Kill me Heal me ( Best KDRAMA acting I've ever seen. The male lead was the best ever, the female lead was kind of annoying but since the male lead was that good I didn't mind it. Also BEST OST EVER)

Other MUST WATCH DRAMAS: My love from another star, Reply 1988, Reply 1997, Doctors, Another Oh HaeYoung, Goblin,
Empress Ki (quite similar to the King's woman) *Korean Drama

If you haven't watched any of these yet I don't know what you're doing with your life tbh.

Please watch all of them you won't regret it.

Love O2O is the perfect romantic comedy rlytearpls.png  There isn't a similar drama like it, but Sound of the Desert is pretty close. It has Liu Shishi and Eddie Peng as the OTP, and Hu Ge as the second male lead.

Maybe when a snail falls in love. Action/romance. Otherwise falls into what you listed

^Exactly what I watched next after LoveO2O. Though I feel like it's not exactly similar in style (way more intense), it's still an amazing drama with gorgeous cinematography. Also, one heck of a smart female lead.

OP if you do watch this one, do NOT watch for the romance. I see so many undeservingly negative reviews for this masterpiece just because people didn't get the cheesy fan-service romance they wanted when it's clearly a predominantly crime drama despite the title.

Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms (LOVE LOVE THIS DRAMA!)

This may be late OP but i still want to ask so here i go, i'm watching Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms currently and i'm not sure if i'm liking it, at first i really liked it when the master and disciple story was going then the war happened and Mo Yuan's spirit was shattered so Si Yin comes back with her true identity which was Bai Qian and when i was actually accepting the sudden change, they showed that Ghost Tribe's king cursed(?) her and she lost all memories and became mortal and now the story changed again. I'm at ep 10 and i feel like things are happening too fast, want to ask if i should continue it and starting from which eps in your opinion the story gets better? in case you don't mind answering

  • 2 weeks later...

What I don't like sometimes about Chinese historical drama is they keep too much to the history, like yeah sometimes it's cool that they stay within the bounds of history but at times, like with Imperial Doctress, they just make everything so miserable because that's how things panned out for the historical figures instead of focusing on making the story watchable.

I stopped watching Imperial Doctress because it got too soap opera-ish at the end and it was like torture getting through the storyline.

I love Love O2O because while there was drama and conflict it wasn't ridiculous and simply there to torture the characters and make everything worth it.

That's just how I see.

The Princess Weiyoung got like that too...

Scarlet Heart got close but didn't push it as far for me so I managed to finish it and enjoyed it.

SUGGESTION: maybe zettai kareshi (absolute boyfriend) the japanese version...  a bit of over acting but it's a great and very sweet drama, one of my fav Japanese dramas.
