what unrealistic things in movies pisses you off?

Recommended Posts

People leaving their homes, day in, day out, no sign of a shower or brushing their teeth. Young me was very confused.

Young me was confused too. But as soon as I got older, I realize some of my friends do that smh. :omgwtf:

People in horror movies are ... How can someone agree to split up in a damn forest? Creepy noises in the basement? Let's check it out! :omgwtf:

How in The Lakehouse people write letters through each other through a mail box at different points in time. Like, seriously that isn't even possible!

Also why did I waste my time and money watching The Lakehouse?

No but really how everyone lives in the nicest houses and basically has the nicest shit, but no one is ever seems to be doing any work.

In romance movies, the guy shows up at the girl's wedding to get her back. Like literally when minister says, "Anyone who thinks these two should not be married, speak now or forever hold your peace." And then a couple of seconds later, the guy comes barging in saying, "I still love you!!! Don't marry him." and practically gives a speech about how much he loves her and how he doesn't want to lose her as if divorces don't exist in that universe. The worst thing about it that the girl ACTUALLY falls for it and runs away from the wedding. Are you serious? Other people think it's romantic but it just pisses me off. What about the feelings of your husband to be? Wasn't he in love with you? Why would you agree to marry someone if you weren't completely in love with them? What about all the time and money invested in the wedding? And the guy couldn't have just said he loved her BEFORE all this nonsense? If some girl convinced the guy I was going to marry that she still loved him and they ran away together, I'd be a fucking mess.

Sorry if this seems so long, it's just ughhh.....it pisses me off. souleyesplz.png souleyesplz.png

Edit: And by the way, I am a total hopeless romantic and I like a lot of romance movies but it's THIS aspect that gets me mad.

I hate when people don't lock the doors and windows and then wondered how the killer got in the house. idontthinksobetchplz.pngidontthinksobetchplz.png

Also dislike how the killer is hurt with a broken leg, bloody face and a snapped arm but somehow manages to catch up to the protagonist who's marathon running the hell away. Killer, tell me your secret to your awesome strength and stamina?!?! rlytearpls.png

Unrealistic airport scenes. My One True Love leaving for another country forever? Let me show up just before you board the plane!

Oh wait, he didn't even board because he was hoping that love note he left to his mother who gave it to me an hour or so ago would reach me and make me run to stop him! 0u0plz.png

Also, why do they usually have perfect handwriting???? Like even in horror movies the letters written in blood look like they were printed letters lmao. I know that if I'm deranged/panicked/dying i'd write so sloppily, the people who discover my message would have to call in an expert to read my message lmao

When main protag jump out of exploding car, rolled down a cliff and still intact with no broken body parts....:imstupid:

This isn't unrealistic but it's kinda annoying when charas play the "pronoun game"....Like when a character is trying to break the news and he say "YOU GOT TO LOOK AT THIS!" instead of just straight out telling them the news so they don't have to ask what do they mean. Or like when they're being vague talking about person like "she's a bad person" so the other people have to ask who is she? I never realized how common it is until cinemasins pointed it out. Like damn y'all just straight out saying that info.

Also when character die before they reveal a huge information

"...your...really...parents are...."

*dead*

"NOOOOOOOO" :imstupid:

  • Hacking, anything about hacking, that's not how hacking works

Shoes inside, especially in the couch

Not saying goodbye after a phone conversation

Conveniently easy parking

Living in a large home or apartment while working a minimum wage job

Very long conversations in crucial times like elevator or going to the next class and still have time left

Stalking treated as romantic

Letting awful people get away with crimes because they are protagonists and everything they do is treated as empowering

Adequate leg space in the plane

Visiting famous locations where the only tourists are the main characters

Horror movie cliches like not calling the police when noticing something suspicious

High School movie cliches, like the nice nerd, dumb jock, evil cheerleader, ugly duckling turned to swan etc.
