Can we let it sink in that BTS new album sold over 1 million in SIX DAYS, never thought I'd live to see this in K-Pop

I used to really like Johnny's groups back in my DB5K days (tho not as big as a fan as DB5K, I loved NEWS and KAT-TUN) and one thing that always struck me is how the physicals of J-Pop idols far eclipsed K-Pop groups. K-Pop had their million copy era, but that was before digitals became a thing.

But as more gimmicks like fansigns and stuff happened, and the global reach of K-Pop widened (example, Cfans and Japanese fans buy a lot) the physicals began to rise again even during the digital era. I was reading articles about BTS selling over 1 million preorders then realized that the released count only included sales until 31 August

They've opened up more selling methods since (Amazon and Taobao), and will possibly have shelve retailers once the album drops (their distributor, Sony Orchid has a reach in the US, Europe, South America).

The album also has ZERO information. No photos, tracklist or teaser. But fans still bought.

It is said Walmart has been playing BTS regularly to gauge audience reception (and could eventually lead to the decision of their CDs being sold)

And Target is a possibility too.

All in all, I never thought I'd live to see a K-Pop group selling this well globally It's always been a delulu wish of mine but I always thought it would always remain a delulu dream.

Apparently not.

No I feel it's already included since the international sales this time count for the domestic sales as well.

If you read the translation of the naver article, they said that if they include international sales, the numbers are even gonna be higher. I'm on mobile right now so I can't post a he tweet
