When I was in college, my university had a FB page dedicated to textbook swap so you can get textbooks from other students who took the class before you for much cheaper or even for free. No more paying overpriced $200+ textbooks at the bookstore. There were also pages for finding roommates for housing, buying used or new but never used items from other people, etc. After I graduated Facebook became useless for me. I go on there maybe once every 3 weeks, and I always leave as quickly as I can, because that place just makes my mind go to very unhappy places. It's a great way to make connections. Every business out there probably has a facebook page with info and a way to update the clients/customers. It's very resourceful i think. All of my family uses Facebook so I loaded up the messenger app and use that for chatting. It's a lot easier than trying to manage everything through multiple chat programs.
