SBS revives 'Four Men' with You From Another Star PD.

It’s baaacck. And with a new director! SBS has decided to revive Four Men, the prequel to Park Hae-jin’s previous drama Man to Man. I’m quite surprised that the station backtracked just under a month after it first announced it would shelve the project, but I’m not complaining, especially since PD Jang Tae-yoo will be making his directorial comeback with this show.

It seems like the cast hasn’t left the project either, thankfully, meaning Park Hae-jin will still be mind-bogglingly playing four different characters in the show. His personas include the detective heroine’s dead lover, twins who suddenly appear before her, and another mysterious identity. Nana (The Good Wife) will portray that detective heroine role, with Kyung Su-jin (Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-ju) as her reporter friend. Kwak Shi-yang (Chicago Typewriter) will play another detective, as well as a friend of Park Hae-jin’s character, though we don’t know which one of the four it will be.

You From Another Star, Tree With Deep Roots

I won’t go so far as to say that I think PD Jang Tae-yoo is a step up from the previously attached director PD Oh Jin-seok (My Sassy GirlYong-pal), but I do prefer PD Jang’s list of credits, which include Painter of the WindTree With Deep Roots, and You From Another Star. PD Jang must have enjoyed working with Park Hae-jin as well: The director has been working in China since the alien-celebrity love story became such a huge hit, but agreed to make a Korean drama comeback after Park Hae-jin reached out to him.

Four Men is back on track to start filming in November, and will be 100 percent pre-produced. SBS hasn’t yet given an airdate for the show, but with production getting back into gear, let’s hope we hear more updates soon!

Me too!

Also:

It hasn't been released yet in Korea; only promotion period has slowly started. It will be released in November though. I know that it's being sold in various countries so it might be hard to get a copy with Eng subs until it is released in those countries. Though you can try 123movies.to (under the Korea section) or kissasian. Those are only the two sites that I know of smile.png

alright thanks for the info lol, i'll look forward to it on next month hurrplz.png

Jo Hyun-jae out, Lee Ki-woo in for fantasy romance Four Men

lkwoo.jpg

Another switcheroo has occurred for Park Hae-jin’s (Man to Man) upcoming drama Four Men: According to JG Entertainment, Lee Ki-woo (Woman of Dignity) has confirmed that he’ll be replacing Jo Hyun-jae, who had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. This drama is about the story of one man who fights to survive, another man who seeks to understand people through love, and the woman who is at the center of it all. The basic setup is this: One day a not-so-ordinary man meets another man with the same face, and they become involved in a complex case that entangles them in a larger mystery.

Park Hae-jin plays the titular four men, and Nana (The Good Wife) will be playing the main female lead, who is a cop. Lee Ki-woo will play the older brother to one of Park Hae-jin’s characters. Jo Hyun-jae’s original character bio was described as a ruthless CEO who wanted to win over his brother at all costs, but now we have the added note that he is initially gentle-seeming and transforms into a monster later on. Other earlier actor confirmations include Kwak Shi-ywang (Chicago Typewriter), who will be Nana’s sunbae in the police force, Kyung Su-jin (Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-ju) who will be her bestie, and NU’EST W’s Ren (Jeon Woo-chi) who will be her younger brother.

One of the other changes include a PD switch from Oh Jin-seok (Yong-pal) to Jang Tae-woo (You From Another Star), which was complicated by the fact that SBS almost dropped the drama when PD Oh backed out. Generally, tumultuous changes throughout production don’t bode well for a drama (see: My Sassy Girl), but I’m still optimistically hopeful because I think we still have a very solid cast and production team behind the project.

Four Men will begin filming this November, and is set to air at the beginning of next year.

I heard November tbh... I hope no further set backs, it's starting to worry me very much. If Nana loses out on another drama  i'm gonna be so disappointed.  I remember when she was cast to play a sister in a drama but because of netizens they replaced her... hoplz.png

*Correction can't remember what she was supposed to play...

well since they already had broadcast to air their drama, i guess they'll be filming around this month lol

Hm i wonder what kind of change of character that made Kyung Soo Jin dropped the drama.

refer from the info above it seems like KSJ's character changed after she dropped the drama.
