I really like all of these groups, especially Pristin and DIA, but I understand why they aren't connecting with the Korean public despite of the huge exposure they got from IOI. All these groups are quite similar, and a new watcher wouldn't be able to distinguish them easily. It's hard to stand out in such a competitive industry, especially with so many girl groups already doing so well

Didn't add Gugudan because they haven't had a recent comeback and Ice Chu didn't chart high enough to be counted on gaon weekly.

These are total sales from when they all had comebacks around the same time.

It seems all their recent releasesare not doing well digitally

I though both Wee Woo and A girl like me are released after the change in the chart system?

But they still did really well though

no they were released before the change in the chart system, I Wish was also released before the new chart system,.

Happy was wjsn's first comeback when the chart system changed, Gugudan still didn't release anything since the change in the chart system other than the unit,.

The change in chart system was implemented on 27th February

Gugudan make their come back on the same day and Pristin make their debut on March 21

So both Wee Woo and A girl like me were released after the change in the chart?

If I not mistaken Gugudan is the 1st group that made a comeback after the chart changed

Only I wish was released earlier before the change

i guess the chart system change didn't effect that much in its early days?! its effects started to show a bit later!

honestly i don't have a clear explanation on why their sales are not doing as good as before! i mean if its not due to the new chart system then probably the post IOI groups are just losing their hype,..

Actually the number not much different and they've been hanging on 100-150 everyday. Cant help with so many big group having comeback and they lining up their song 5-10 song on chart. Korean is easy to get brainwash, they wouldnt bother check the song who barely made top 100. Since now ioi fandom 'officially' been scattered they probably not bother to check other group song or helping each other and more focus to their own group.

The chart system change definitely affected! Pledis Girlz' pre-release We in 2016 before chart change managed to debut at like 30+ even without much hype & without IOI members, but their much hyped debut was only at 50+.

But you're right about the groups losing their hype. The fandom is too fragmented now with Chungha & WekiMeki making their debuts + the songs they release aren't catching on to the public (except Chungha) + their companies do very little hype for them once past their debut.

Gugudan's "A Girl like me" was released AFTER the chart changes and they charted pretty high even tho Taeyeon released her new album the same day and she, BTOB, EXO and Highlight were dominating the charts with their album songs...still they managed to debuted at #39
