LeggoStar 5,695 Posted August 29, 2017 Share Posted August 29, 2017 For me: 15& - Baek yerin expressed not being able to release music Benard Park - won kpop star but where is he? he only had 1 ep dropped in year 2014 Hyuna - some people don't even know she came back, cube needs to do a better job Lee hi - same as baek yerin Akmu - given unnecessary hiatus, went from 36k album sales to 9k because of it Those who left those companies and are thriving: Sunmi - though she always does good, gashina is doing amazing San E - hits after hits since he left G.soul - already has many projects and songs are being released Highlight - weren't afraid to take the risk, doing better than their last 2 albums released by cube Gummy - "you are my everything..." (kdrama fans you know lol) Like Sunmi said, leaving is hard cause you are comfortable and big companies are systematic in how they release things (particular with their material and aim for high success), which is why some complain of artistic freedom. But I think sometimes smaller companies prioritize you better (also better at promoting since you are their sole focus) and work to fulfill your career goals rather than only what they think you should do.
