What do you look out for when you buy lip products? (Male & female)

For me:

 

I only buy lip balm

 

And it's lip balm that comes

1) in a tube/stick (you know what I mean, I suck with words)

2) with spf as my lips appear to be more prone to sun damage :(

3) with an appropriate price range... :D

i use one specific brand for moisture, have since childhood. with my lipsticks i'm just as repetitive, one brand only. my lips are, like my skin overall, insanely dry... i need lasting moisture, spf, and compact packaging (tube isn't a must, stick is convenient too, but i need to be able to fit it in a small purse).

I'm not too picky for lip balm. I'll buy it as long as it is moisturizing and smells good.

I prefer lipsticks to be transfer proof . I hate when lipstick gets all over my food/cup when I'm eating/drinking.

Lip balm I don't tend to use but instead I use gloss for moisturizing
