Why 4minute's What are you doing today isn't doing well on music charts ?

When I heard the news that 4minute and Brave Brothers were teaming up for the third time, I was expecting another WYN and not another IIP. I wanted to see 'Some' struggling on the charts and the top 3 of Melon stopping being so predictable and boring. All I got was watching 'What are you doing today' peaking at #3 on MelOn and being #1 on Instiz for one hour or two and then keep falling. Then after one week of charting, it's in the top 20 on most of the charts and #23 on MelOn. So my question is why after their hit WYN, every title track of 4minute went downhill on music charts ? Was the success of WYN just luck ? Brave Brothers need to set up his game and produce better songs to 4minute ? Is the general public just tired of idol songs ? Or 4minute came back at the wrong time ? I personally think it's a combinaison of those four questions/reasons.

Well, controversies did wonder to Crayon Pop's and Stellar's career so I thought it wouldn't matter that much. As for the competition, it doesn't prevent people to download other songs...

Because the song sucks and it's turning into J.Lo and Pitbull, people are getting sick of the same collaborations over and over.

Well Sistar's GITM was a rip off from Alone but they still did well. For me, it's about the timing. The comeback was not hyped and the MV got so much hate on a Korean standard and the song is forgettable.

They just started promoting the song, and yes they are #23 on Melon but it's also 3am in Korea so it's not surprising that they are falling, especially since they aren't that big in streaming
