It sounds distinctly Asian/Korean in the melody, which is why I like it so much. If you isolate just the melody you'll hear that it's slightly got that Asian pentatonic scale thing going on. I wish they would release more songs like INU. Not their official song, but their cover of the Korean folk song "Arirang" was the bomb last year. You guys should check it out!!
