The Noragami Thread

 

 

Synopsis 

Yato, a minor god, dreams to become the most revered deity in the world with big shrine and all. However, being a penniless god that he is, he has a long way to go and his shinki leaving him doesn't help matter. Later, when he does his job, a high school girl named Hiyori Iki pushes him out of the way of a speeding bus; unaware of his status as deity.

Things get complicated when this incident triggers abnormality in Hiyori's soul, causing her to make an Astral Projection whenever she falls unconscious. To turn herself back to normal, Hiyori must help Yato becoming a better god who can fix the problem, along with Yato's new shinki, Yukine.

I've been into this series recently, I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I do.

 

I haven't started the anime yet but i like the manga a lot and there's so few chapters I'll probably pick the anime up soon.

Can't wait for the new episode this Sunday. Shit just got real! At first I was really annoyed by Yuukine, but it got better.

 

This, Hamatora and Kuroko no Basuke 2 are the only anime that are worth following this season for me.

It's the only show I've been following this season [+ Kill La Kill & Space Dandy]

I'm a little disappointed the anime drifted away from the original story line but it's still great.

I've really got to get back to watching it, I'm only on the second episode. (And tbh I haven't really been itching to get back to it because it hasn't grabbed me. It gets better soon right?)

imo it does. But to me one of the greatest selling points are the characters and their stories which begins to take off starting episode 3 or 4. 

 

The manga is really good tho

I love this anime, it's the only winter season anime that I've been keeping up with plus my faves from the fall lineup. I think I'm going to have to start reading the manga though.

I didnt expect much of this anime at the beginning tbh. The only anime this season I didnt drop after 3 episodes cause it was starting to get really interesting afterwards. Glad I continue watching.

 

The Final was very satisfying, like every ending a bit fast-paced but to the point. The charachters are likeable, the heroine isnt as much of a damsel.

 

The OVA was one of the better ova's, really funny!

 

Im not a manga reader, but reading this thread there is prob more to cover, hopefully there will be 2nd season!
