What time is the solar eclipse where i live?

The view will be the best for those lucky enough to be in the “path of totality†which crosses these 12 states: Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

if you live in one of the states where a total eclipse is visible instead of a partial eclipse, it's safe to view the eclipse without solar glasses once totality has been reached and the entire sky is dark. 

 

unfortunately since i live in a state where the eclipse only reaches partial totality, i won't be able to watch it safely either. next best thing I can do is use my front-facing camera to take a picture of the sky and see the eclipse that way.
