Three choices: 1) Keep calling it a "lone wolf" even though there has been countless attacks in Europe following the same method and motivated by the same ideologies just this year alone, the last one being an Algerian ramming police in Paris just the other week 2) Sweep everything under the rug while continuing to push the narrative that the Charlottesville attacker was a white terrorist and there's no difference between it and Nazis killing Anne Frank 3) The insane denialist route: "It was clearly inspired by the Charlottesville terrorist! Yes we have a problem with extremist islam, but any religion/ideology in it's extremes can be dangerous besides neither the identity nor believes of the perpetrators have been revealed yet and this is being reported as a terrorist attack so I honestly don't see the point of your post. For what little good it does my heart goes out to the victims and their loved ones of this terrible attack and I hope that the situation can be resolved quickly. Police are avoiding pictures out of respect for the victims' families, so please do the same thing, don't circulate pictures of the victims in social media. The latter was rightfully condemned by people across the political spectrum, but still the usual suspects were out in full force to capitalize on the situation to try and slander anyone right-of-center on any issue, even things that have nothing to do with race, as a Nazi or Nazi sympathizer. (Gun owners and even capitalists are apparently all Nazis by association) This one, however, will result in another round of unified left-wing apologia & "pray for peace" rhetoric. 1 person dies and it's the Nazi Apocalypse. 12+ people die and "We must ignore this and go on as normal. Now I see the same people calling for the footage of this actual terror attack not to be shown publicly. "Respect for the victims" my ass, what you are asking for is indeed for things to be swept quickly under the rug because the timing is just too inconvenient.
