Tiffany’s Contract with SM Expires, Will Pursue Career In USA

While Girls’ Generation is discussing contract renewals with SM Entertainment, Tiffany will be heading to America to pursue acting as well as singing in the US.

 

 

According to multiple industry insiders, Tiffany will be studying acting in America for a short period of time.

 

 

 

“Recently, Tiffany decided that she wants to study abroad in America and has told all her acquaintances. She wanted to study acting, so the people around her have supported Tiffany’s decision.â€

While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, SM Entertainment announced that they are still in discussion with Tiffany about her contract.

 

 

 

“The members and our agency have worked together for 10 years. Our trust within each other is very deep, so the majority of the members have decided on extending their contracts. [in regards to Tiffany’s contract], we are currently discussing many aspects of it.â€

Honestly speaking...what can Tiffany succeed in America? I'll predict that (if she goes down this route) she'll get small acting parts here and there in movies. The general public will see her as that Asian girl who played that one part in that one movie, and then forget about her after they've seen the movie in theaters. The only ones who would care to make some buzz about her acting are her fans in the states and if Korea still have some love for her, they'll write some articles about her small acting gig.

 

I mean after all...there hasn't been any big Asian female stars acting in movies. The last one I remember was Lucy Liu...and she wasn't even that big either after starring in kill bill and Charlie's Angels.

Tiffany rather than meeting celebrities is meeting producers that made some of the biggest hits in USA that are on top close to celebrities.

Idk. I don't pay enough attention to Tiffany to know who her US celebrity friends are. But what I do know is that trying to make an acting career in Hollywood is a lot harder than kpop fans think, especially if you're Asian and know nothing about Kung fu.
