Announcement This NEEDS To Be Addressed

I am not going to go into specific details out of respect for those directly involved, those that know what happened today will know what I am talking about, those that don't can ask those that do know via PM. I will remove any names mentioned if I see them posted.

 

Something very serious happened today and unfortunately there wasn't much we could do at the time. While most of it happened outside of OH, It is unfortunate some people on this forum feel they needed to initiate a witch hunt on OH and keep at it even when the person being attacked is clearly expressing distress and alarming statements about their own well being. It is even more unfortunate certain people felt the need to spread things they shouldn't be spreading, or asking things they shouldn't be asking, for whatever malicious purposed were intended. There will be consequences behind the scenes, I can assure you of that.

 

I'm going to make this very clear for everyone:

 

Do not share information with others you barely know. You should never assume the other person is being 100% with you, ever. If you don't care then that's fine, but realize if you are the one asking for things that there can be consequences for what you are asking. Claiming ignorance can only get you so far, and if you know for a fact you shouldn't be asking then there are bigger problems that need to be addressed.

 

This marks the second time in 3 years a large scale privacy issue involving OH members happened. I want there to be 0 going forward, but everyone needs to play their part. Staff only have power on OH, whatever happens outside are not things we can control.

 

At the risk of this sounding like a cheesy school infomercial, be mindful of what you share or ask for online, always, please...
