Nogizaka46 Becomes 5th Girl Group To Sell 10 Million Singles in Japan

Nogizaka46's latest single "Nigemizu" has sold 880,018 copies during its first week on sale, making it the best-selling single according to Oricon.

 

The new single has set a personal record for the group. The single had the highest selling first week sales out of any of the group's singles. The previous record was set by "Influencer" earlier this year when it sold 874,528 copies in its first week.

 

With its latest single, Nogizaka46 has sold 10,594,000 singles since its debut in 2012. It is only the 5th girl group in Japan to sell over 10 million singles. The other 4 are AKB48, Morning Musume, SPEED and Pink Lady.
