RECOMMEND ME A GOOD SCARY MOVIE TO WATCH

My sister and I are planning to watch a scary movie tonight. I want to watch a GOOD horror non-gory film. Any movie that is creepy but good. Good as in, no stupid acting, no stupid storyline, no stupid characters. I'm a fan of M.Night Shayamalan, so maybe something like Signs, The Sixth Sense or The Village is good too. No Asian movies.

but non-asian i'd recommend the visit.

 

Shutter is actually one of my favorite horror movies! I know Asians (especially Thai) have good horror movies but my sister don't want to watch them because she doesn't want to read subtitles. We've already seen the Visit. smile.png

The Conjuring 1 & 2 were good.

[REC] 1 & 2 as well, but they are in Spanish.

The Lords Of Salem is one of my favourites, but it's not really scary.

Pulse (American remake) is okay, not as good as the Japanese version though.

 

I have seen A LOT of horror movies, over 650 of them and I am honestly having a hard time suggesting some lol

Well, you're just limiting yourself of the best ones as the american ones, who aren't about gore, most of the time are rip-offs of the good asian films.

 

 

 

[REC] 1 & 2 as well, but they are in Spanish.

 

 

There is also the american rip-off of this movie lol, but I wouldn't recommend that version to anyone.

If she doesn't want to read subtitles then leave it as it is. As for movies in english I can only think of Cloverfield (10 Cloverfield Lane), this is more of a suspense movie but I think it's a good one. I'm also going to watch a movie called 'Get Out' it's supposed to be good but haven't actually seen it.

 

The Ring movies aren't so bad either and 28 Days Later is also very good, that is more about zombies thought but I think you would have seen it already. So all in all and reading the films you do like I think you should go with something like 10 Cloverfield Lane and 'Get Out' (and you tell me if it's good and I should watch it).

The thing about Get Out was, it had me guessing all possibilities of why this and that, but the ending pretty much just made me go "huhhh"
