watch Tyler Perry movies? It was raining the other day and nothing else was on and I watched 'Diary of a Mad Black Woman' for the first time in like ten years. I'd like to think I'm above this "Madea" humor, however I just end up feeling like Token from South Park.

Do you still find Madea amusing? Or how do you feel about Tyler Perry films in general?

I like a couple of his stage plays I've seen, not gonna lie. the music is always really uplifting.

No.

I find them really weird? My family is nothing like that. And I have a BIG family with southern roots. But that ghetto "we in poverty and we got mad problems" type shit isn't us. We're just regular degular people lol

I'm not Southern, but everything else applies. The only Tyler Perry movie I've seen is Diary of a Mad Black Woman. My mom literally had that movie on repeat when she was getting divorced.

I dislike Tyler Perry's entire movie catalog. His films are just a bunch of stereotypes that are packed in a 1hr 30 min film format. He became rich, and famous by embracing those negative ideas, and traits that the world have pinpointed on black people. Just like he made all the Madea movies hood, and ratchet. He could have made some uplifting movies for the community as well. But we know that the major film industries weren't going to fund any positive films for black people.
