Are you happy with your country's metro system?

After watching this clip and having been to Japan, I'm very impressed with their metro system. Impressed with the trains' punctuality, the quietness in the train and how the people queue up to enter and allow commuters to exit the train first. 

For me living in Singapore, our metro system is a self-declared "World Class Transport". However, many Singaporeans are getting increasingly unhappy about our public transport due to the increasing prices and decrease in quality (Increase in breakdowns, trains being late and the insane intervals between trains during peak hour) 

Therefore that led me to wonder if only Singaporeans are getting increasingly unhappy with their metro system or are other countries facing the same problem. 

So are you happy with your country's metro system? Why? And state what country you're from!

I am, sort of. You can get anywhere in Milan by public transport, but the trains and buses are too fucking crowded.

Dude the MRT in Taipei is the bomb. It's quiet and organized and rather cheap. It is very strict however. Like, don't even consider eating or drinking on the platform or the trains. Those guards will whistle at you and then everyone glares. XD

 

Actually, I think people in Taipei are really proud of the metro system so they take very good care of it. 

 

The only thing I could wish for was that it extended further out of the city to the airport in Taoyuan.

In my city it's okay... expensive for normal commuters though. I don't care because all my fares are 50c.
