Yes, it was disrespectful, but you don't know the circumstances of other groups. Idol life is busy. Now that the issue is gaining traction, newer groups will change their ways and be better about greeting their seniors.

People are acting like new gen idols have so much free time that they can just go and greet each and every senior. Some of them probably rehearse in the waiting room and there are definitely some who probably take naps since we all already know how much sleep idols miss out on with their hectic schedules

Yet all these people are ganging up on W1 and it has become a messy fight of pettiness. Juniors should have been more respectful but the singling out of Wanna One and bashing on them is UGLY.

None of the groups besides EXO came to visit SNSD or give them their album on Mcountdown today and Hyoyeon kinda shaded them by posting about it on Instagram. So people are saying those younger groups are rude and have no manners.

The point is, we don't know what goes on behind the scenes. This is an issue between senior and junior groups, not fans and junior/rookie groups. Maybe my Tiffany example was weak but my point stands that our groups have also gotten bashed for thing that are sometimes out of our control. These people hating on W1 have no idea if the group was busy or if they had other things going on. Idol schedules are rough. It's rude yes, but I would think fans would be a little more understanding as most of our biases aren't without fault either.

Exactly. Who are we to pass judgement over something we don't even know the back story of and I know Hyo probably didn't mean to be shady. It's not the first time her ig posts have been misconstrued.

Anyways, seeing what's going on, I can say that it's disrespectful-hands down, but using this as a ladder to jump on the W1 hate bandwagon is as much disrespectful, especially seeing that most of the "respect right fighters" aren't even sones.

Hyoyeon definitely didn't mean this to blow up like it did, and everyone needs to chill. The rookies (80% of the current idols) will use this as a guide and learn from it.

Well, shame on all those people. This was an important issue raised to awareness by Hyoyeon but some people just jump on the chance to bash.

 

Anyway, the difference on the hate between W1 and Gfriend is quite noticeable though.
