Armin surviving the 50m fall with his body and brain all roasted and then becoming the colossal titan is still the biggest joke this manga could've ever dropped

Armin should have died. I like the dude, but the author was toying with our emotions. It would have been the perfect exit, but, lol, no.

Yes, I hate how he toyed with our emotions, there is no need of the whole drama of who is supposed to get the serum. And he killed Erwin when he was so close to his dream.

I'm still bitter till now. The manga is never be the same since then.

I too am sad that Erwin died considering he was one of my favourite characters. But didn't he tell Levi that he doesn't want the serum and his time has come? So I don't understand why everybody is so angry. At least he didn't have a horrible death like being eaten alive. It was rather peaceful.

Did he? I don't remember there was such a panel. He might have resolved to abandon his dream after talking to Levi and lead his soldiers to death. But when he was near death and Levi wanted to inject his arm, he suddenly raised his arm and uttered the words he asked his father in the classroom, he was hallucinating, not rejecting the serum. If he has really abandoned his dream he wouldn't hallucinating, his dream is still very much real to him till the end.
