Can long distance relationships work in your opinion?

Recommended Posts

Yup. I have bf in another city for almost 5 years. It's hard, but we love challenge, and promise to spend some time once in 2/3 months to be together. You need to trust him, and maybe knowing his friends/family will help you a lot. They'll inform you when your bf sick/not well enough to call you.

my boyfriend and i were long distance for a year, we met online. now we've been living together for 4 years! i moved 1000 miles away from home to live together with him. i agree that there needs to be an end goal if you want the relationship to work out, and you both have to be very committed to the idea. trust and communication are the most important parts for sure. the part that made the actual distance easiest for me was skyping every night. now that snapchat is more popular though i bet it's even easier to stay connected from far away than it was when we were apart.

I think so. I've been doing it for the past 3 years lol and my boyfriend lives on the other side of the world. if you keep the communication going it's less complicated than you think. however, as other people have stated you should kinda have some plan if you want it to last. For example, who will move to who's country to work or live etc. Because it's not realistic to be going back and forth every few months to see them. I don't think a relationship like that could be maintained for more than 5 years maximum.
