Happy 10th Anniversary Sones and all to casual fans of Girls' Generation..

They truly live up to their name and one of the groups that started the Girl Group trend that paved a bigger way for KPOP..

I just graduated from High School when I became a Sone.. My course is Architecture and SNSD's music kept me awake during sleepless nights due to hundreds of projects/drawing needed for school.. SNSD's music is one of my greatest bonding moment w/ my sister... we always watch random snsd shows, mvs etc even though we already watch it 10x before...

I graduated college during IGAB.. I even used their mv sets as design concepts.. They inspired me to finish my thesis.. Black Ocean to NGG is one of my greatest inspiration in life.. The hardwork they shown during trainee days kept me from working hard no matter the failures.. I almost stopped from College when I failed a subject.. but i always thought if snsd stopped after black ocean.. Gee never happened.. The song of the decade..

I even listen to their sad songs whenever i had a breakup or sad moments in life.. They made me so happy w/ hundreds of Music and MV they released... I don't think i'll be stanning another group as much as this...

Now it's holiday promotion.. I am starting up my OWN Company.. An architectural Firm.. They are still one of my inspiration to do better in life... SNSD, SOnes and to my fellow kpop fans.. Thank You for the fun - thrilling roller coaster experience..

Lets support the Girls..!!!

To those newbies keep bashing on snsd.. Show some Respect, SNSD is One of the Senior Group who promoted kpop from scratch together w/ boa, tvxq, 2ne1, WG etc.. your bias might not even exist without those group.. most of the new GG's were a fan of snsd and inspired from them too.. Your faves' fave

From Highschool Graduate- College Student - Architect - Company Owner.. A decade of Girls' Generation

I was 17 then, I'm 27 now. Time flies by so fast. They practically cheered me up in my most dreadful times. I've been sick throughout those ten years, and Im glad that today, after 10 years, I have recovered. And that makes this anniversary festive comeback even more meaningful for me.

I really grew up with the girls.

Back in 2010 I found out about kpop. I liked Wonder Girls English release so I decided the rest of the groups. Back then Gee was a viral hit too but I couldn't stand it. It was too sugary for me then but 3 years later I became friends with a Sone who sneakily got me to watch GG japanese music videos because he knew I was more into japanese music and I liked Kdramas back then. That damned bastard got me hooked on Shoujo Jidai and through kdramas like Dream High, it had a cover of Genie and that was the song I really liked from SNSD back then.

Good times. Almost a year later I was booking tickets to go see them live for the first time. Seeing them was one of the best concert experiences I've ever had.

I'm not a full-blown stan, but I still really enjoy a lot of SNSD songs and albums. I have a few of their CDs.

Anyway, I discovered them when I first started high school. I made friends with a girl who was pretty much an SM stan. She gave me an "electronic contraption" that was basically a memory stick you could listen to. (It was nowhere near ipod level.) She had some SNSD songs, and I just started looking more of their songs after that.

I never got to see them live or anything, but I remember staying up to watch them perform The Boys on the Late Night Show. I bought their American release in Best Buy. They are so nostalgic for me rlytearpls.png

SNSD got me into k-pop. It was a few days after they released I Got A Boy. After that I became a casual listener to their songs. I was 15 then, now I am turning 20, its been a good ride with SNSD.

Little did I know a song that I jammed to a lot as a kid was Gee haha laugh.png

I used to be a stan of jpop group Morning Musume (before all my fave members "graduated") and there were constantly "comparisions" between SNSD and Morning Musume back then. I didn't think much about it but there was something that caught my eye "BoA Kwon = labelmate" and I was like ... "THE BoA Kwon that's doing jpop? Impossible -- she's japanese". Researched and found out she was korean. So I looked into the label SM .. and was like "okkkkkayyy"? Later that day my sister showed me "Gee" from SNSD and while I didn't like it..I kinda fell for Yuri's charms. I officially became a stan the moment "Genie" was released ...

Well, 10 years have passed, I found alot of other kpop groups I like but in the end, I am still a SONE at heart who still supports them.

I was introduced to Gee by someone, which actually got me into k-pop in the first place. After Gee I started to get into SNSD (this was between IGAB and Mr. Mr. era) and watched a little of Hello Baby and followed their Mr. Mr. promos.

Jessica was my bias so I stopped being a massive fan after she was forced out of the group. This was also around the time I started to get into other k-pop groups other than SNSD so I moved on a little after her departure, but I still support them as a group w/out Jessica, and they were the first group to get me interested in k-pop so I feel biased towards them.

Nothing special with my story but here it goes. I was 12 and in 6th grade when K-pop started becoming popular here in the Philippines during late 2009 after major news channels announced that Dara (who was/is a popular celebrity here, even becoming our National Krung-krung) debuted in this Korean girl group 2NE1. So I checked them out after that and was formally introduced to K-pop! I instantly became a Blackjack then, and only a Blackjack bc for some reason I refused to listen to other groups. This only-2NE1 mindset went on around for a few months until around early 2010 when a few K-pop songs started popping up on the local daily chart called Myx and one of them was SNSD's Oh!. At first, I admit I didn't pay attention to them that much tho I loooved the song and choreography. 2NE1 wasn't that active that time so I was fed with a lot of SNSD videos. From there, I slowly fell in love with them but it wasn't until they released Run Devil Run that I finally became a Sone rlytearpls.png. I dropped 2NE1 then and there (sorry not sorry lol) and the rest is history. Sooyoung was my first bias btw then I shifted to Yuri during Hoot and she's been my UB for 7 years now.

It was about 5 or 6 years ago. I was just starting high school and my parents being military, we moved around a lot. Anyway, I was watching MMD videos and I came across one with SNSD's RDR and another with Genie. I really liked it looked them up and within 2 weeks I was hooked. Their variety shows were hilarious and Seohyun was absolutely adorable. I listened to their debut song and it was over for me. That solidified it for me.

It's pretty long so I will put in the spoiler in case you guys don't like long reading

They debuted when I was only 7. Back then, I was a huge fan of C-music but still loved some Korean songs. One day I saw the song Into The New World on music program and I really really loved it. Although I couldn't understand what they were singing about but the feeling was so strong. That was the first time I tried to learn dancing to a song. I became a casual fan until Genie, got shooked by everything and I turned into hardcore SONE. My first bias was Yoona because of her visual but I changed to Taeyeon after Genie.
And Jessica's departure happened, I was so down and even stayed away from Kpop stuff for a while. Then one day, I listened to ITNW again and made me think again about how I fell in love with the girls, all the things we had been through together. I was back and loved them like the very first time. SNSD was the only group that I could confidently call myself a hardcore fan until this summer I got into Monsta X, their dorkiness reminds me of the girls (lmao).
Yeah, I have grown up with them, from an elementary school girl to senior in highschool, 10 years.

2009 was truly a legendary year and truly made kpop get more exposure. Im one of those people who were annoyed by it actually. Most of the hit songs were broadcasted in radio and tv in my country (plus Dara was going to debut) and the kpop craze was really big. I was annoyed with Gee but it eventually grew on me. When Genie and Bonamana (or was it Mr. simple?) of SuJu dropped, I came to tolerate kpop more and actually wasnt bad as I thought it to be. Plus I must admit, I was drawn in cuz Kpop Idols were so beautiful and handsome.

I dont stan SNSD, but I always trusted them in releasing good tracks and I really did like their releases. Their songs was on repeat in the house (siblings lol) during transport and at school. These days the kpop craze is tamer. Truly legends.

Omg.... they were the ones that brought me into Kpop in 2008. It was all thanks to a Youtube comment. Before K-pop, I was more into Taiwanese music but the music mainly consisted of ballads, which was not my main cup of tea. Also the music industry is slow compare to the Korean music industry, so I kind of got bored fast. I was watching Hei Se Hui Mei Mei (aka Hey Girl I think now. They actually might of disbanded.) and someone in the comments said that SNSD was better. I was like "Who is this SNSD?" I looked it up and Kissing You was the first video I watched.  I thought "Oh this song is alright and not too overly done." Then I looked up more songs which was Into the New World and Merry Go Around. And I was hooked after. I was mainly into their music but during that time, SNSD had a lot of anti fans that were all over Youtube. It honestly felt like, SNSD internationally wise had more haters and fans. I didn't understand why and so I end up watching them on variety shows and liked many of their songs. Thats when. I became a sone. Although I have to admit that I'm not a hardcore sone like I used to be, I'm more like a casual fans for all the Kpop groups I like now.

I knew of k-pop from early on but SNSD was the one that really got me into it.

Seeing them performing ITNW for the 1st time on MuBank was just indescribable & unforgettable, that feeling stays with me till today.

The girls have been my constant motivation & goal.

Thoughts like "what would make them proud" or "would it disappoint them if their fan did this"

often came as a guide for a very young me who was hanging with the "wrong" crowd.

They were my support when I was going through the toughest years of my life.

Being able to grow up & stay by their side for such a long time is a blessing that I'm forever thankful for.

Looking forward to many more meaningful years to come~

Happy 10th Anniversary~

Let's have fun with this comeback Sones.

I got to know snsd during highschool but Im not a sone yet. Gee and Genie was released around the time I got into college. I meet my soon-to-be fellow kpop stans and remember crying a bucks listening to Dear Mom and watching that Kim Jung Eun Chocolate(?) eps because I correlate to that so much being alone far away from home in my college dorm. Oh! was my first 'comeback' experience since I declare that I'm a sone. I also experience first love during Seohyun WGM. and since it also new for me I feel like being Hyun and that guy was Yong~ lmao

talking about Seohyun I stan her because she's so admirable and I respect her thoughts when she said on snsd debut reality show (I forgot is it mtv bible or GGTS) that she felt so hurtful when her friends said why she studied so hard if she became an idol and then she said why cant she be an idol and also a smart hard in study student. inspirational. ever since that I feel so wronged if I got lazy and complained about my study since well thats the only thing that I could do lol

after that I always being a full time sone in soshified, making fanfics etc lol, joined the daesang fanwar with elf 😂, sulproting their individual activities and tts debuts, attending concerts etc. fun times

Sicagate happened right after I finished college and still looking for ajob so as an unemployee person that situation hit me so hard lol I cry in my dark room, refuse to believe it and feel so betrayed etc lol

I kinda saying nah I quit being a sone, snsd are snakes! poor sica and 8 others, sm sucks! then I got a job and idk the job is pretty tiring and makes me busy that I dont really follow Lion Heart era. I dont even know taeyeon solo debut I hit daebak. I got back into kpop through Gfriend Rough video I found on youtube. and I searched back snsd lion heart era, their solos, jessica being fine, so yeah I'm done and moved on. I still love them. Girls Generation will alayws holds a special place in my heart no matther how hard I tried to replace them with newer girlgroupðŸ˜â¤

Congratulations for 10th anniv! Jigeumeun sonyuhshidae apeurado sonyuhshidae yongwonhi sonyuhshidaeee💞
