Can already well known groups become even more successful

It's possible if they maybe expand their audiences and go overseas. But some groups have already hit their peak like 4Minute. They're a great group, but their recent songs aren't really up to par with their old ones. The things they make now will surely become popular, but not nearly as popular as their others. Miss A I can see becoming more popular and possibly f(x) if they make a comeback sometime early this year with everyone else, but not very much more popular. It seems like a lot of the groups from now are being overtaken by new/rookie groups nowadays, especially with big announcements from companies like SM and YG. But no matter what, whatever steadily popular groups put out, even if it's not very good, will get popular.

See, the words: "Big power comes big responsibility" can be applied here.

Of course with their "popularity" means they can reach even more achievement easier, but, the bigger the group, the harder they fall, and that's a such burden for them.

Once they make a wrong step, then puff.. It's all gone. Example? T-ara

Miss A I can see becoming more popular

i kinda disagree with Miss A, i dont think theyre really getting any more popular then they are now ~ their last comeback while great didnt propel them any further then from their comeback before that ~

i could be be wrong but from the looks of it, it seems theyre really not progressing ~

In Kpop, more success after "hitting the roof" = successful American debut

Thats true for me. I think SNSD has acheived everything they can in the continent, but they havent reached their peak unless they've put a serious effort at their limits which is america.

f(x) still has a lot of potential to run as they havent made a massive hit yet (even though theyve made quite a few hits). The other groups have been used well to their potential, so I dont think they can really grow unless SNSD moves out of the way. But f(x)'s potential to grow Id say is much bigger.

Miss A: Hit their peak with "Good Bye Baby," have been stagnating since "Touch"

4Minute: Hit their peak with "Volume Up," "What's Your Name?" was really popular in Korea (because Brave Brothers produced it), but I don't see them getting more popular as a group. Hyuna still has potential, though.

2NE1: Still has potential for advancement

f(x): Needs a really big song to progress further

I guess now that you put it that way, it's surely possible that they may be staying put for the moment. However, they seem to be gaining a bit more fans as I've noticed more and more people with icons of miss A members (particularly Suzy) than before. Also, their older videos seem to be gaining views more than their recent comeback has. Last time I watched the Touch video, it had around 6,000,000 views, but since their comeback, it's been raised to over 9,200,000. Hopefully their next comeback will be stronger than Hush and will propel their popularity, even if only slightly. The thing is, Hush wasn't really up to standards to what many people expected, and was an average comeback. If they release a better song, I think their chances of becoming more popular is quite possible.

I think Sistar was already pretty successful pre-Alone.  Just that Alone took them to another, extremely high level.  And of course Sistar still has room for improvement (even if I think they'll pretty much never get a fandom... probably....)

EDIT: re: Sistar, their songs charted well (even long-term), and they were pretty high-profile for being out of a nugu company and 2010.  I forget how many groups actually debuted in 2010, though, probably still not that many considering subsequent years.

ofc a group will always gain new fans each comeback, its just since HUSH they been slowing down to the point of just being stagnant, even after switching producers they didnt go out of their zone and do something different.

with 4minute they switched up and garnered immense attention and success with WYN after falling off with MirrorMirror yet regaining momentum with Volume Up.

just as any group can decline, i feel any group gain popularity as well.

honestly before this comeback, 2ne1 was on the decline for a while, but now they rocketed back up.

with a good song, concept, promotions, and a bit of luck, i think any of these groups have the chance to become more successful.

but i do think they did well for the last comeback. it was sold alot, probably the best album well-received in korea for jype. they did pretty well despite it was a short promotion, and how it was during the time of mama awards. it was still charting in early february. maybe not the best in korea, but their china promotion and their concerts been doing them good, so i think if jype manages better with more comeback, they be more sucessful. im sure there are lots of international, after all they are like the best girl group dancing group. maybe even hello baby will make them mmore sucessful.
