Finally found the thread, what a debut song   I really love rock music and band music in general, I was randomly watching videos on Youtube, I stumbled upon The Rose and ta-daa. I was impressed and when I learned Sorry was their debut song I was like wtf I thought they are like 5 years old band, it was the second time I was so impressed with a debut song. I found their style similar to The Script somehow and now I saw their cover of Breakeven and I'm totally sold, I will stan religiously lol. They all so talented its crazy and they look really close, probably its a result of their busking days and I'm impressed with Woosung's mindset, he originally could debut as a solo but he joined the band and it seems they blended well. It will be so hard to choose a bias for me, I really liked all of them and now I'm torn between Woosung and Dojoon lol. I hope we can get a lot of music and variety material, I'd love to get to know their personality too and I'm waiting for a good fandom name too

If he received a negative critism I swear I'm gonna pull judges hairs lol he has such an emotional voice and he even danced 

 

 

I wonder why none of the judges didn't cast him? Or he got casted but he changed his company later? I don't know about The Rose's company but I think if they would go to big3 they would debut as idols not as a band so I think this way is better for them.

 

Guys go watch their live broadcasts on their Facebook page, they did 2 English broadcast and 2 Korean broadcast, they answered some fan questions and sang a few songs, today they sang Empty from Winner (usually I can't listen W covers because most of groups can't do the justice to the song enough) and I was smiling ear to ear they killed it with just 3 of them, Woosung just harmonized but it was gold, when I find the video I will edit this later.

I don't know about their company but I wish they can be promoted more, 4 of them can go to King of Masked Singer (especially vocal line), Weekly Idol, another variety shows etc. or they even can get their own variety show like other groups. They are so good to be under-promoted, I hope their company knows it too.

I think promotion will be a bit of a tough cookie for them. They're appareantly under J&Star Entertainment. I googled the company and they seem very nugu, so nugu that I couldn't even find a official website for them. Hopefully their fandom will continue to grow and they'll get more comebacks so that eventually people can start taking some notice of them. I wouldn't really hold my breath though :/

This is bad :( Then we don't have much choice but stream their mv, support them as much as we can. I hope fandom grows more especially in Korea, they need a large fandom as a band because without tv apperiances, public can't notice them easily

I can finally listen to the album. Just wow. Baby snatched me so hard that i was crying suddenly, i don't know why lol. They really did a wonderful job. Baby and Sorry are my favorites but all songs are good. It is hard to hear real instruments and bare voices these days in Korea music industry, The Rose is lifesaver for me   I can't even talk about vocals, I am blown away by both of them, congrats boys, I hope Korean public can notice you soon because you deserve everything 

Is it bad if I ship The Rose with South Club lol, i can see them being good friends and creating music together, okay i will stop now lmao

[Review] The Rose draw on indie & alternative sounds to create effective appeal on “Babyâ€

 

Idol band The Rose seemed to come out of nowhere last summer, but quickly developed a moderate amount of internet buzz even though Korea has mostly ignored them. To be honest, I didn’t quite understand what all the fuss was about. Past tracks

and

were pleasant bursts of modern rock, but nothing that stood out to me. However, with new single “Baby†I’m fully on board the hype train.

 

 

When it comes to idol rock music, we tend to either get acoustic balladry or Maroon 5-esque pop polish. “Baby†takes a different approach, drawing from alternative and indie to forge a sound unique to The Rose. Like DAY6, this is a group of multiple vocalists, with members Woosung and Dojoon taking lead. Their tones are affected in the way that much of alternative rock tends to be, but it works here in part because we haven’t heard this approach in awhile. The two captivate with vibrato-heavy performances that compliment the percussion-heavy instrumental and lend the track a sense of the ethereal.

“Baby†is a production and vocal showcase, and its actual melody feels slight by comparison. The gorgeous surge of guitar and avalanche of constant drum patterns paints a rousing instrumental that only grows more so as electronics enter the fray during the song’s final moments. I’m less enthralled by Baby’s constant need to pull back into more subdued passages when it could have added an extra melodic punch, but I suppose this sense of dynamics is part of the track’s powerful, raw appeal.

Lol I laughed so hard when i read that line saying whats the fuss about them [emoji1] Even Woosung's first second in Sorry is enough to say that they are unique and very good but yeah lets say that they are same with other Korean bands [emoji23]
