zediby 355 Posted July 31, 2017 Share Posted July 31, 2017 tonight me and my brother went out to hang with some friends and since it was sunday night in the beginning of august, our city is pretty empty. we were around the university area, which happens to be downtown (I'm from europe) and we were sitting on the stairs that led to this church. in front of it there is a parking lot and across tat parking lot there is a building that belongs to the uni. so there we were, sitting there chatting about things, and one of our friends was even smoking a cigarette when a car comes and parks just next to us. like it was a few meters away, but still. there were two men inside wearing tuxedos. we brushed it off and figured it was probably someone that had stuff to take care of in the uni facility. about 5 minutes later we decide to go somewhere else. we went to the languages department, which also happens to have a stairway. so we were sitting there talking and we even put some music on, when my brother notices something. the exact same car that was next to the church a while ago was literally parked a few meters from us, again. there is absolutely no one on the street. so at this point we're all kind of freaked out but we don't say it out loud, we're just sitting there and we'd occasionally glance at the car to check whether it was still there. we decide to gtfo of that place, and we walk down the road and make sure to head through some shortcut to guarantee there is no road near us. while we were walking home we were triggered everytime a car passed by us. I used the read the Let's Not Meet Reddit forum and it's full of stories that were creepy or "you legit could have been kidnapped" moments from people following them. For my mom: She was driving around doing some errands one day and she noticed that same car had been behind her for awhile. She was on one of the main streets so she decided to turn off the street onto a side street that goes into a neighborhood to make sure they weren't (she's kind of always paranoid about people following her on the street, and in this instance she had 100% right to be). Well they turned off as well right behind her. So she proceeds to make another turn, and they turn behind her then too. After this she decides to make multiple right turns that lead them back to the main street that she had originally turned off of. The person makes all the same right turns as her. It's very obvious she's being followed cause who would need to make all those same right turns. I think at this point they realized what she had done and when she turns back out onto the main street they turn the opposite direction. For me: A few years ago I used to go grocery shopping around 2 or 3 am cause I liked to meet up with my friend at the store (she didn't get off work till that late) and we would grocery shop together. I was standing outside the house talking to my mom when I was about to leave and the porch light was on, so you could clearly see we were out there. This truck suddenly comes driving down our tiny neighborhood street and slows WAY down once it gets in front of our house, to the point I almost thought they were going to stop, then speeds back up and keeps going. Now our street is a little half circle, and were our house is you can see both ends of the street. I suddenly see the truck come back around and drive in front of our house again. We're both kind of freaked out and I see the truck u-turn and start coming back down the street. I tell my mom to get into the house cause the truck is coming back again, and I jump into my car and lock the door. The truck slows down in front of our house again. Once it passes I back out and decide to leave. Well as I'm turning out of my neighborhood I see that same truck pull up behind me, and t proceeds to turn the same direction onto the main street I was going, and makes another same turn as me onto another main street. It's driving in the lane next to me and the person is trying to drive next to me (like our front windows being side by side). I'm like hell no I've heard stories of people shooting others through the drivers window, and I start speeding up or slowing down to keep them from being able to stay next to my car. After almost a minute of this they finally turn off onto a side street. I was paranoid for weeks after that thinking they would come back, and it's clear this wasn't an innocent incident. One time my oldest niece received information about this job stating "no prior work experience needed, will pay 12 dollars an hour, and other tempting stuff". If I remember correctly, whoever it was wanted her and her friend to meet up at a random location. Curlymckay 808 Posted July 31, 2017 Share Posted July 31, 2017 I know once I was driving home from work (it was a part-time job after school, so it was ~10-11pm) and I drove into my subdivision and occasionally I'll see a person following me but it usually a neighbor and I'll see them pull into their driveway or they'll turn after a while somewhere else but one time I drove down my street (and btw my street is usually very quiet since there are other streets nearby that people tend to take) and there was a car following me and I pulled into my driveway and I watched the car go to the end of my street and turn (just to make sure since I was freaking out) but then after it turned it stopped, backed up and went down my street again so I just hid in my car and ran to my door once I knew it couldn't see me (my driveway was blocking the view).
