Do you think BTS are a rare phenomenon or will there be a nugu band who will rise the same way?

MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

  • small company
  • barely on any variety shows, much more relevant ones
  • didn't come from a survival show
  • no viral video/member
  • no national hitâ„¢
  • no pre-debut hype
  • no company stans
  • no hit drama
  • no huge collabs
  • no money

Crossing my fingers A.C.E or Snuper or Victon could...but I'm not raising my expectations too much.

YAASSS A.C.E! I have so many hope for them, they're so talented and their visuals are actually good. I know that visuals shouldn't matter but it does, a lot of nugu groups don't really have a great visual that can attract people but A.C.E does. Their song was very good imo and their dancing and singing is absolutely on point. Stan A.C.E everybody

They also only debuted back in may, and have legit one song. Those groups like Snuper and Victon debuted a while ago, so i don't really have a lot of hope for them anymore

Anticipate Cross Gene. They've increased in popularity every single time they comeback, which shows by their album sales and digitals.

Amuse is big but it isn't a branded label in Korea, so take that into consideration. Plus the anti-Japanese sentiment towards them has already shown its colors plenty of times upon Cross Gene's entrance in the K-Pop scene.

if they can snatch a huge social media following, maybe. that's the most reasonable platform to start. but tbh it won't be easy. i like the groups you mentioned but idk if they have the social media presence required to secure what bts had on earlier days

there is ALWAYS going to be some nugu rookie boy group that blows up in fame, the only difference being that never have they managed bring the Big 3 down to their knees

From the outside, Bang PD seems like a real and rare asset. Basically, it's about the management.

Edit: That's my #1 but of course not the only important asset. The group itself is important but it's also the management responsible for talent scouting and group "assembly" in the first place. It'll be really interesting to see this tested with the next group.

Damn, that is a crap-load of conditions that were stacked against them back then. How exactly DID they make it again?

Probably not, but a group will come and hit some of those things on the list. But not all. As we speak there's probably like 5 or so groups incubating. The ambitious one will try. But at this point, trying to get on bts level is going to take money and patience. K.A.R.D. has potential if their company can switch it up for them.
