The MV and the song starts innocently with a young girl inexperienced with love lamenting about her crush Our hands touched while we were walking Then you gave me your lemonade All day, you blew butterflies into my stomach So my heart has grown so much My heart has grown like bubble gum Though I don’t know from A to Z, what love really is In the MV, she is shown innocently playing with her friends when the chorus drops I have fallen, love cherry motion Into a purple, midsummer night’s dream Love cherry magic Dreaming of a paradise with you In my eyes, in my heart, you are there Come deeper into my arms Love Cherry Motion Our story starts today Then she looks at the bed with a cherry on it with a certain look on her face and eagerly go to it and takes a bite. I thought the initial cuteness of the track and clothing was supposed to help the sudden twist in the song be a surprise. I never even considered it being like....um...this. Yeah...I'm just gonna give them the benefit of the doubt. She was dressed age appropriately and the lyrics were okay too...I think you have good points, but their company has yet to prove themselves as prone to such gimmicks so I'll just stick with my own G-rated interpretion of the video. You are perverted and choosing to sexualize Choerry. Now if we're trying to find a more objective interpretation of the song, lyrics and MV I'd say it's a stretch on your part (which reinforces my point of you being a pervert). To begin with 'to pop a cherry' might have that double meaning in english but I'm unfamiliar with those associations and that phrase in other languages, so I don't know if it's the same in Korean coloquial language but even then that phrase never appears in the MV. The people unfamiliar with Loona might not be aware of the plot and message of the song/MV but to begin with they decided to romanize her name as Choerry, and they had chose her animal to be a bat. This was speculated even before the MV was released but someone did mention her animal could be a bat because of how some species of them would eat fruits like a cherry. Then the whole cherry thing is used to point the transition and evolution from Loona 1/3 (who had a pure concept) to the new subunit (Kim Lip and Jinsoul), so that's why everything transforms as soon as she eats the cherry and the beat drops. That's the main gist of the MV, she is portraited as a cute, innocent girl at the beginning who then is summoned by Kim Lip and Jinsoul into and alternate universe/dimension (the loonaverse lol). The mirrors are some sort of portal which she uses to transport herself and at the end when everything is purple she's already in the new universe. So this is about her transformation into the new subunit's image and sound but just that.
