sergel 3,568
Depends on what you like. I play it now and then. It's nice not to have a sub and they add new stuff every couple months...which they also remove every couple months. It's fun to explore. Combat is fun at times, boring at other moments, and pretty frantic. Story is blah but there's nice voice acting and character. Cash shop is annoying since some of the nicest things cost $10. Mostly skins. Everything else is pointless. A very pretty game.
HvD 3,431
I heard the game can be even more addicting than World of Warcraft. If that's true, then I'd say don't buy it. It's best you spend your free time on something more productive than playing a MMORPG that will suck away large amounts of your time. Time is irreversible and irreplaceable, you know? Heck, if you really have to spend your money on something right now, then go support your favorite artists by buying their music albums and whatnot. Salty Pretzel 942
I play it occasionally. I use to play it a lot back when I was on break from school. It's alright. Basically, if you like WoW and the likes then you'll most likely enjoy GW2. The honeymoon stage basically wore off on me when everything started getting way too repetitive.. so maybe 3-4 months (dungeon runs are the same etc). The aspect I liked the most was World vs. World, Fractals, and the fact that the GW2 universe is very large (and pretty). Combat is okay, can get very repetitive and boring (obviously). The buddy system isn't too great. This sucks because I really look forward to meeting people in MMO's. Buying stuff at the Cash Shop is purely for aesthetics, nothing is really needed for the game. If you're someone who doesn't have a lot of time to invest in games then I think GW2 would be fun since if you decide to take a break after playing it for a bit, you can still pick up where you left off. This game doesn't have 21048210 patches that changes the way the game is played. They usually just add events/new cash items.

Ridesy 1,274
Personally I love it. The leveling process is the best part of the game for me since it doesn't feel like a grind. (I have levelled 3 characters to 80 and I am willing to do it again) My PC is horrible and so I can't really help with my opinion on WvW (my friend however, she's addicted to it). You'll definitely get your money's worth. The world looks amazing, the voice acting is really cool, and the constant updates (although they get removed every so often) is really neat. The only issue I have with the game is that most people want me to run a specific set of gear for dungeons and I don't like being a "Glass Cannon" character. (Dungeons are only one part of the game and aren't even required) I tried to play FF14 last week and honestly GW2 is almost perfect to me that I went back to GW2 within a day. ojungers 144
I got bored of it at max level. Wasn't a fan of the skill system.
