Actor Ji Chang Wook is in talks to return to the domestic small screen via an upcoming tvN drama.

According to reports on June 14, the star has been offered the lead role in screenwriter Jang Hyuk Rin’s (“Yong Pal“) new project entitled “K2.†The drama will be directed by Kwang Jung Hwan, known for his work on “Chuno/Slave Hunters†and “Neighborhood Hero.†HB Entertainment is in charge of the production.

Ji Chang Wook’s reps have stated that they are still considering the offer.

“K2″ is expected to premiere on tvN in September. The time slot has not been confirmed, but it appears that either “K2″ or “Tomorrow with You†(working title) starring Han Ji Min will become the follow-up to the Friday-Saturday drama “Good Wife.â€

The drama tells the story of a secret service guard, abandoned by his country and peers, who uses the secret daughter of a strong presidential candidate to get revenge on those who betrayed him.

This would mark Ji Chang Wook’s first domestic drama after the hit series â€œHealer.â€

I looked up the first episodes of the drama have gotten over 1 in rating, which is pretty good. i think if the drama ends up with a 1.5 average it would be a hit for him.

Anyone here started watching Whirlwind Girl 2? I'm thinking of waiting until there are more episodes, but I haven't really watched any Chinese dramas tbh so not sure about what to expect.

 

I am watching it and ... hmm idk I am giving it a few more episodes before I decide. JCW looks super hot but the cast is rather young. 

I have seen other Chinese dramas and some are really really good. 

 

It is doing pretty good in China, I just think I am not their target audience. It is like a high school drama.

Ah okay. I'm not usually fond of teen dramas, but I'll probably watch it for JCW anyways. I did see a couple of minutes of the first episode.

 

What are your favourite Chinese dramas?

 

The ones that I enjoyed the most are Nirnava on Fire, Boss & Me, Bu Bu Xing Jin, My Sunshine, and probably Journey of Flower. I am watching The Mystic Nine right now and loving it. Out of those only Boss & Me and My Sunshine are set in current time, the others are ancient and the 1930's for The Mystic Nine. I havent seen that many but I really liked these ones.

OMG with Yoona   I'm told this woman can't act for a toffee and she gets to be on the same screen as him, how did that happen  (nothing against her singing or whatev personally, but 'Love Rain'....)  still, I'm excited !

 

yeah she wasnt good in Love Rain, but I heard she is doing better in this drama. I haven seen it yet. Today I will. From the previews she looked like she was pulling it off. The other Yoona is super good.
