Stylus Jewellery has released some behind-the-scenes of their photoshoot taken on 1 October, featuring Ji Chang Wook as their latest spokesperson for their “Dear My Muse†promotional campaign.  We’ve already seen most of the finished product, so let’s take a look at how it all came about, shall we?

[Movie] First still of Ji Chang Wook in “Fabricated Cityâ€

 

 

As filming for Ji Chang Wook’s upcoming movie “Fabricated City†draws to a close, we get a glimpse of what to expect in the movie, and…surprise, surprise…it looks like a sci-fi movie?

 

The picture above was among the few stills that were released in the Korean news portals this evening, which were mainly reporting about the casting of model Yoo Seung Ok in the movie. Looking like an anime character dressed in a tight-fitting “military outfit†and sporting black and golden hair, Yoo Seung Ok is making her big screen debut as the sole female among the 150 male soldiers in the film.  According to reports, she will be making her appearance at the beginning of the film.

 

 

Based on earlier reports about the story, we know that Ji Chang Wook’s character, Kwon Yoo, is a gamer who is part of a team called “Resurrectionâ€. We wonder if the scene above is an imagination of his team fighting in the virtual world, or maybe he decided that his team members should do a cosplay while they carry out his revenge plan. Hehe.

Ji Chang Wook held a live Weibo chat with fans yesterday afternoon. Fans were asked to send him questions to his account using the hashtag #池昌旭和我约 (#Ji Chang Wook has a date with me). The whole chat was conducted in Chinese via a translator. The following is a translation of the short exchange.

JCW: We’ve only discussed about the song list so far, I’m still discussing more detailed plans with everyone.

Glorious Entertainment has released ticketing details for Ji Chang Wook’s upcoming concert in Chongqing.

Venue: Chongqing Yubei District Stadium (é‡åº†å¸‚æ¸åŒ—区体育馆)

The venue is the largest indoor sports hall in Chongqing and is used to host sporting events. It is said to have a seating capacity of 6,000.

[Pictorial] Behind-the-scenes for the 2016 Ji Chang Wook calendar

 

 

Phoenix Media did an interview with Ji Chang Wook in Seoul recently when he was having a photo shoot for his 2016 calendar.

The interview covered many topics that he has already talked about countless times — topics such as singing, learning Chinese, his action scenes in “Healer†and his stuntman, his experience in “Running Manâ€, and his love for food, soccer and comics. Hence, we won’t be translating the interview since that will take up too much time.

 

 

It is worth mentioning that proceeds from the sale of his 2016 calendar in China will go towards opening a biscuit shop to help children who left the orphanage after they turn 16 to help them re-adjust to society. He says that charity is not a one-off thing, and he will continue doing it.

Well that sure took its sweet time in arriving, no? Glorious Entertainment has just announced that the Ji Chang Wook 2016 Calendar will go on public sale on Monday, 23 November 2015.

 

The calendar will have a “storytelling†concept and include pictures of him from his previous shows and newly-taken pictures, all packaged in a high quality casing. Proceeds from the calendar will go towards charity.

 

Priced at 25,000 won each (excluding shipping), this year’s offering will be sold in Korea through Glorious’s parent entity, Gloria Jean’s Coffee, at this link:  Ji Chang Wook 2016 Calendar.  The calendar will also be distributed in Japan by Timo Japan, and in China by Zhongbao.

 

However, it seems that Gloria Jean’s only offers domestic shipping within Korea. We are still in the midst of enquiring about how international fans can place their orders. We will update accordingly when we get news on that.
