Sorry to have disappeared. I had my once a year business trip plus my birthday bender them trying to get life back to normal. Oh, and a new nephew came along too. Real life has been crazy, but a lot of fun.

 

btw - just because you can handle 6 bourbon drinks and be good to walk straight back to the hotel and wake up the next morning without a headache, does not mean that you can handle 2 brandy drinks. I have never felt so terrible the next morning and I have never vomited because of liquor before and I don't want to ever again (but those sidecars where really really good).

 

It's easy to see why he had lasted so long. There's a show on kbs world on youtube, "full house" that he hosted that was pretty decent. Some episodes were better than others, but I liked his cranky character on there. He really does bully the panelists but they get back at him too. I've always liked him more than PMS.

Isn't Kyung-kyu sort of Myung-soo's mentor too? I seem to remember Myung-soo saying something like that when they met for a brief talk on an IC episode. Kyung-kyu is still on MLT btw, this weekend's episode is the second part of the current competition. 

 

 

I'm really worried about them maintaining that position. Even 1n2d has managed to fill a vacancy. IC really needs someone permanent, not guests. It's a show that relies on the group's dynamic, not on guest. Plus someone new may give Kwanghee a partner in crime. Right now he seems to rely on PMS a lot during shoots and I wish he wouldn't.

 

Did you see the little news thing about Kim Tae-ho PD on the previous page? He seems to want to have a group of "friends" that are semi-regulars on the show instead of a new member. I think it's a way to ease a new member onto the show.

 

Seeing as Yang Se-hyung will be on the show again this week, he'll definitely be one of the friends, I think. He's already semi-regular on Same Bed, Different Dreams too, so I think Jae-suk likes him. Not sure who else would be in the "friends" group, there were some people, inlcuding Kim Je-dong who used to show up occasionally in the past, but have been less frequent. I don't think he would be a good member. I just hope somebody locks the door to keep Kim Young-chul out of the running.

That's what a fortune teller told them on their first episode.  I would take that with a grain of salt.  if the WI staff knew they only had to wait out three or four months, I doubt they would have selected semi-permanent replacements.

I don't know about you guys, but I absolutely loved yesterday's episode. It's been a while since I've seen Park Myung-soo so upbeat and enthusiastic. Also thought Kwanghee was a lot of fun. Not too mention Jun-ha!

 

I felt Yang Se-hyung's part was a little too confined for him to be at his best, but I still think he would make an excellent addition to the cast. I hope he gets invited again soon. Eun-hee was charming too, she laughed at pretty much everything.

 

There was a bit of moaning about doing Infinite Company without the three missing members on another forum, but for me this episode was thoroughly entertaining. I have kind of given up on Gil & NHC return for now anyway, until there are more positive news about. I can't be bothered to ruin a good episode of IC by thinking of how it would be with them. Maybe that helped. I don't know.

Just wanted to let people know that kbs world has a trailer up for NHC's new show with a date, May 18, attached. It looks like they will be subbing it themselves. Yay for NHC back on an eng subbed show!!

 

It airs on KBS World on May 18 yeah, so it'll be on their youtube channel with subs most likely the same day. Welcome Show also aired their second recording live earlier today.

 

I haven't watched any of the live recordings, because they're long, and most likely a mess, since they've not been edited down, but I'm looking forward to checking out the first TV episode.

Has anyone here seen "knowing bros"? Ep 1, 21 & 23 are on kshowonline. The first one is ok, the other two are funny (personally, I loved 23 so much I watched it twice).

 

I bring this up because in addition to some of the usual people, there are some unexpected gems. Since it's been brought up that IC needs additional cast (permanent or rotating), I thought this show has some good examples of not the usual people, but still funny. Another one would be YJS "I Am A Man", there's two actors on there who are good but not the usual. (I epically like how kwang ohjoong takes yjs towards his enjoyment of dirty jokes)

 

I'm planning on watching ep. 23 later today or during the weekend, because I like Kim Sejung, and some of the others in IOI. You should watch ep. 23 on Yubseyo's page though, he's the one who subbed the show. Just to encourage further subbing.

Who are you referring to though? I hope it's not Kim Young-chul, because he definitely won't be a good addition to IC. Got so annoyed at him during the Sixth Man project. He kept repeating that 'Cheer Up Super Power' line every 5 minutes.

I watched 23 & 21 on dailymotion, not sure if that's your link since I'm on mobile. I just went in to KSO earlier and saw episode 1. It's not as good as the ioi or rv episodes. And no. I would never refer to youngchul. There's someone who was a raper in a 90s group (shortest guy) who's had a lot of "issues", but he is hilarious. Even in the first one he was really funny and most where just kinda ok.

 

If the links were on dailymotion, they were probably the same once.

 

Your 90s rapper, sounds like Lee Sang-min, maybe. I liked him, they made a reference to something he did in the Red Velvet episode too.

 

Watching Knowing Bros ep. 23 now, about 30 mins left. Kind of digging Heechul really. Haven't seen him in much, but I thought he did really well on Knowing Bros 23. Also been looking forward to JYP's Weekly Idol gets subbed. I've watched the dance intro with hani & heechul like 20 times. Loving it.

The real name of the show is actually "Ask Us Anything". I have no idea why they call it "Knowing Bros" on the subbing site. So if You are looking for more info on the show , search for "Ask us Anything".

Yay!!! I love corrected information. I found it first on daily motion and now KSO had 4 episodes up and they all say "knowing bros". But of course I couldn't find any info on when I searched. Also didn't see anything on the few members I did know wiki pages.

 

I hope IC can pull in some cast members like this show has. Though YJS doesn't watch it so he's missing out on the awesomeness. (Janghoon said he asked yjs if he'd seen the show in ep 22). I've also been living Jessi & Kim Sook on Unnie Slam Dunk. They are just refreshing casting choices. IC has had some refreshing choices with Kwanghee and people who were part of the dummy avengers and ugly friends festival. I just don't want to see them get stuck with the easy to invite guests. Though I have to say that the guests they have for the wedding singers have been enjoyable (but I'm only loving Jang Beom).

Now, the hangul name is 아는 형님 (reads 'anoon hyung nim')

 

anoon means to know/knowing something, hyungnim means older brother(s), so I think Knowing Brothers is the better translation.

 

"Ask Us Anything" comes from when the very first episode was aired on Vlive. They had Ask Us Anything as the English title of the show for that. JTBC's page for the show uses Bros in the english title though.

Ahh Okay. I searched online for episode list. (to know guests for each episode). I searched "Knowing Bros" and "Knowing Brother" but nothing useful. When i searched "Ask Us Anything" i got a lot of interesting hits, including the wiki information that included a full episode list with guests. So in case anyone wants to see episode list with guests.... if You search "Ask Us Anything" You can find it on wiki.

 

I see. There's some info on the wikipedia page that is missing or incorrect though. Whoever updated it didn't notice that eps. 12 & 13 are missing from the list, so all the dates from there on out are wrong. I'll look to update the info on there soon.

 

Also, guests missing etc, and nothing on older episodes.

Another news leak from MuDo today. So stop reading this here if you don't want to know. I don't think it's much of a spoiler, but different folks, different strokes.

 

 

MuDo members are reportedly clearing their schedules in June to go the United States for filming. This got me excited not just because I enjoyed their previous trips there, but if you remember when Jack Black visited earlier this year, he told them they could use his house to film an episode, if they ever came to the US. Now he did kind of back out, but who knows. Anyways, an US episode got me excited.

Where at in the US? I'm sure no where near me, not that I could travel if I wanted to. I have family coming down and a beach vacation that month. I was so sad to find out that YJS was only 4 hours away after the fact last year. I think that's as close as I'll ever get to my favorite korean.

 

I didn't see any info on where in the US they're going. I would assume either California or New York. I'll let you know if I see anything on where, but they are probably keeping it secret.

just checking in to see how you all enjoyed the wedding singers special?

 

I thought that is was nice, and the couples and their family and guests seemed to be really happy.  not my favorite group of episodes, but it was a nice change up.  which is actually one of the things I love about this show - that they don't just stick to this sort of thing or that sort of thing but do a lot of different things.  it doesn't always end up going over well, but when it's a hit it's a massive hit.  

 

Thought it was a nice special, but I'm also kind of glad this was the last episode. There has been a lot of musical episodes lately. Almost straight from the Sechs Kies special into the Wedding singer special. Absolutely loved the Jung trio though. That was such an awesome performance in the preliminary concert, and they did well at the wedding as well. Thought the preliminary concert with the voting was the highlight musically, and then the wedding were mostly about getting the feels.

 

 

 

 

It's been so long since I've regularly followed a variety show, but Infinity Challenge has been really fun to watch. Although I haven't been as productive as I have been prior to watching IC. . .  

 

I really enjoyed it. It was really fun to watch and touching too. I'm kind of bummed that they did not show Jang Bum Joon and Park Myung Soo's entire performance. Like I know they were in last place and people seemed to have enjoyed their performance the least, but they showed the entire performance of all of the other members. :S 

 

 

I'm looking forward to next week's episode since I love reading Webtoons and some of my favourite webtoon authors will be starring the episode. :D 

 

Webtoon special is going to be over 6 weeks apparantly, probably not 6 full episodes, but with parts of the episode being the manhwa/webtoon project. From the preview it looked like the first episode will be all about the webtoon project, and have a lot of chatter, so I think it's going to be awesome! Really curious to see what the webtoon project is.

 

Yoon Tae-ho was on Infinite Challenge earlier this year as a mentor on 'Bad Memory Eraser', really enjoyed him on that episode.

 

 

 

 

I just finished up smtm5 ep 2, with Junha's audition.  he did better than I thought, but the real reason I wanted to say something here was because of Gil.  They had such a nice moment after he was done, genuinely happy to see each other and you could tell that they were really rooting for one another.  I watch a lot of kvariety shows, and too often they tear down their co-hosts on other shows.  to see the IC guys really caring about each other was just lovely.  (I know that often times people get on well, but the fact that they feel the need to say that kind of thing about each other makes them look shallow to me, personal opinion)

 

 

You'll probably enjoy reading Gil's Tipsy interview. It was translated by Lord Bordem, who also translated the HaHa interview. Gil talks about returning to TV, Show Me the Money, on his music, and on leaving Infinite Challenge. Not as blunt as Haha's interview, but I enjoyed reading it.

so, I don't know if you all took time to read the awards team message on updating the badges.  if you want a new badge, you have to submit it by June 5, otherwise it can be processed but won't be made available until after award season (so, basically we can't get an IC badge until August).  I have complained about this in that thread.  They posted it up after 9pm my local time on Friday and said get it done by Sunday.  I'm sorry, but everyone is on at different times and I just posted about seriously getting one so a day to a day and a half is just ridiculous notice to give people. I know that there is nothing that can be done at this time about that, but at least I and one other person did let them know that their idea of advance notice was a joke.

 

I'm going to keep going with this since we can submit it at any time, just know that if you don't hear anything for awhile, it's because the awards team is going to be very busy (which I have no problem with, I want some of my badge pictures changed too, including all 3 that are currently showing).  so for now we have this list (h= holder; s= supporter)  if you would like to change your status just let me know.

I just finished it.  to be honest, I was nervous that it would be a bit of a train wreck, but I was pleasantly surprised.   I'm still not a fan of Sehyung, especially with how physical he got with Junha (just seemed unnecessary a few times and honestly I don't like a lot of violence gags).  overall though, he was better than I expected him to be, way more calmed down then before which blended better.

 

the reading of the fanfic was too much for me.  not going to lie, I skipped over that reading.  I was cringing so hard just thinking about what could possibly be inside of it.  poor girl, I can't believe that they did that to her.  the drawings were funny and it was really great how they kept asking if it was fortune telling episode because they were so spot on.  I really felt that Kwanghee was more present on this episode which is good.  the other guys really need him to step up, it's been a year.  I LOVED that no one picked Jaesuk for who they wanted to work with.  it's a good experience for him. 

 

I'm looking forward to more of this theme.  and I'm really curious as it if Jaesuk will have to go tuna fishing even if it is really "too dangerous" 

 

I've raved about Se-hyung before, so I love that he's on the show a lot. He might not be the spotlight member, but he is definitely solid support, and that helps all of them. Tae-ho PD said before this episode that he thought someone closer to Kwanghee's age (Se-hyung) would help Kwanghee a lot, which we would all see during this episode.

 

Don't think you should worry too much about the writer. Who do you think brought them the fan fiction?

Ok, so this is yet another badge post.

 

When I submitted the request, the deadline was tight so I just used a good quality image of the show's logo. My understanding is that even though it's a new award, it could still be changed. Since there are four holders, it would have to be done in a thread. Are you guys ok with it as is (the logo is a bit small), or would you like to play around with it a bit? I know I've seen mock badges for groups in the past where they changed up colors, not sure if we could do that too. I'm asking here because I assume all holders will check this thread. Variety is in the last due date so there is some time.

 

I'm okay with it as is, at least for now. If I were to make any changes, I would make the logo slightly bigger maybe, and have the background be all white, instead of off-white.

 

but I pretty much wanted the logo to be the badge, so I'm well satisfied with the look, really.

 

How many supporters do we have for a future Kim Tae-ho badge at the moment? I'll be a holder, and I assume you, coward, will be too. So that's two holders. Anyone else?

is it off white?  it looks white to me, but I keep my screen on the brighter side.  

 

I never got a straight answer if it was even POSSIBLE to have a Kim Taeho badge.  if it is, it would have to be through a custom badge request form.  individual badges all have to come that way (which is dumb since they are so freakin' difficult to get a hold of, and then there are people who have like 8 of them, but that's not the worst thing.  if there are not three people who hold the badge, than the badge gets nominated for deletion.  so, you work really hard to get a badge that you want, but then because no one else is into that person, you lose it.  I get not clogging up the awards section, but given how many there already are, it doesn't make sense to me in the slightest).  so basically I think it's a scam. 

 

It's very slightly off-white. Not nearly enough to be bothersome, so it's no biggie.

 

Of course it's POSSIBLE to have a Kim Tae-ho badge, he invented real-variety, which is the basis for so many of the big korean variety shows. He's a legend. Also, we'll just need one more holder who feels passionately about Tae-ho to have 3 holders.

Photographer Oh Joong Suk has once again shared an update on comedian Jung Hyung Don’s condition.

 

On June 11, Oh Joong Suk shared another photo of Jung Hyung Don taking a stroll with his daughter on the comedian’s DC Inside Gallery. Along with the photo, the photographer wroter, “Hello. [Jung Hyung Don] is doing verrryyyyyy well.†Oh Joong Suk previously shared a photo of Jang Hyung Don back in April.

 

Fans made sure to share their gratitude toward Oh Joong Suk, writing, “Thank you as always, Mr. Photographer,†and “I’m so happy thanks to this surprise gift.â€

 

Meanwhile, Jung Hyung Don has been on hiatus from the entertainment world since last November, citing health concerns.
