I love this song... A bit off topic, but I'm always surprised at how low Utada's youtube views are when she's one of the biggest artist in Japan. I know Japan isn't big on youtube so I shouldn't expect much but it was still kinda surprising

Probably Because most people but her music and don't feel the need to stream

There is that, but I also think the age of her base has something to do with it. A bunch of people in their 30s aren't going to sit around and watch videos on YouTube like teens are.

Japan is one of the most Youtube obsessed countries in the world but you are right, music views there are pathetically low even when compared to much smaller countries. However, Utada Hikaru's songs are always made available there super late so it's not surprising her results there are lackluster.

To be frank, she's like MisChil/BUMP at this point - HUGE fanbase, but mainstream not there.
