Yeah, but the nasal-ness, aside from tone quality, just means they pronounce all their vowels completely differently from him. I know which I prefer, but at the same time, Infinite is a bunch of nasal mofos... +Woohyun. Their diction is so chewed and irritating. To me, Infinite is a group fronted by someone who wanted to be in a rock band and wants to sound nasal as fuck, and Woohyun is the only one not toeing the company line. XD His being there doesn't make anyone else more bearable to listen to, I still have to put up with them to enjoy the songs (since like I said, I like the songs themselves even if I don't care for the voices involved), but him not being there means there won't be that incoherence anymore. Their songs are lovely, and Woohyun does feel a bit odd, but I don't want him to not be in the group. Where would he go? lulz, I have no idea, unfortunately. But I feel like the dude actually sort of has a shot at being a soloist--he's Generally Acknowledged As Good (in thread terms I guess that means decent/ok?), and isn't he sort of supposed to be one of the visuals anyway? That's the impression I got from watching one of their varieties (Rank King), because he's cute/attractive and has the right attitude for an idol or something. Actually, him being in Infinite probably makes Infinite songs worse for me, because he's a constant reminder that they could all sound like that, when instead they sound... as they do. >.> (ie. if he weren't there it would be a stylistic choice, since he is there it is both a stylistic choice and general incompetence.) However, it sort of seems like Woolim pay more attention to Sunggyu. Ahh, I see. It would also be ok (or better, anyway) if Infinite had a continuum of different voices, but Woohyun is so far away from all the others it literally sounds like it's him vs. the others. Without Woohyun, INFINITE would be the male version of KARA: A dance group with a bunch of squeaky nasal voices. Or they'd just be Teen Top. I was wondering if that were it. No one even classifies her as a Gospel Singer, I don't even think she classifies herself as a Gospel Singer. I'm 98.7% sure people would more like say that "Mariah Carey is a Pop singer" vs "Mariah Carey is a Gospel singer" Well, Sohyang's genre is Contemporary Christian music, whereas Mariah Carey is actually mainstream non-religious pop. I'm not sure that Korean CCM falls under gospel music necessarily, but it seems likely. Gospel seems to be the uber-genre. (Unless Sohyang has branched out from that or something.)
