that's because some people can't quite tell the difference between head voice and mix. #shade #grudge

such a boyish haircut .. I thought this was gonna be a performance she would not be pitchy in, then @0:33 she held that B and suddenly the pitch dropped and she went to something in between B and Bb and I was like WHY. WHY DOES SHE DO THAT IDGI U R GOOD YOUNHA WHY. Oh and then she started that chorus way off. Oh hey yeap I hear head voice in the chorus, like a very well done head voice in terms of tone production so it sounds too clean and almost like her mix, it's slightly mixed but it's mostly head voice. She needs to get her breathing down..like breath marks so she knows when she has time to breathe and won't go flat as often, cuz there were a couple of flat notes like two of those "cuz I love you", the "I's"

So u think it's HV? I was also unsure since it's more difficult to produce head voice in those vowels

She was actually barely enunciating the consonants in there, just leaving the vowels which arent that hard to produce through head voice either. It was still head voice, even tho a bit more mixed due to the opened vowel placement. Head voice can be resonant and due to the consonant "N" it leans her sound more in her mask and makes it sound more like a mixed voice-like sound, though she's using mostly head voice to produce the note.

They do are more difficult to sing with head voice imo. I remember u saying once too, when posting AIlee's VR, that all Ailee's notes in HV are "ee" and "oo" vowels, because she has a problem connecting if it's not those vowels

"They do are".......... they do are....honey. grammar. They are, do does not work. Oh no yes they are more difficult but not too difficult that she would have to mix them, same with ooo and ee, those are slightly harder to mix cuz they're closed, but they can still be mixed regardless. Ailee doesn't have a problem as far as Ik and many of her Ee's the higher she goes, turn into Ah's mixed with Ee's, like the A5 from I hate hatred, the mouth position and placement is leaning towards Ah to keep it more opened, so she doesn't have a problem with it, it's just easier to make head voice with Ee and Ooh, so yeah that part is true, but still head voice is possible and I believe she used head voice.

dear God that sounded so ugly omg OTL I meant "they definitely are" omg

Raina did pretty well on all her lines, though during the bridge I'm not sure if she went flat once? The 2 notes @ 1:15, both were fine, but the first one was better, when she did the same line again I feel like 2:53 was slightly better this time. The adlibs at the end were good too. Very nice chest note @ 3:25,  and i think the very last belt was resonant (and on a side note, I was here begging for her to stop there PLS DON'T GO HIGHER THAN THIS! lol)

I watched the second video yesterday and I don't remember anything worth mentioning except Nana being better than Lizzy

CAN YALL RECOGNIZE THIS VOICE, WHERE ARE YOUR FAVES NOW  :datass:

Can someone, who is non-biased against Minzy, provide me with some constructive criticism on this recent video of Minzy singing?

I'd like to hear the positives and negatives of what you think of her vocals. :)

She improved so much!!

Her support is consitent throughout the song, that good vibrato is always there, no apparent tonality problems, intonation pretty much fine too. I'd say she had even had resonant moments. Maybe there were a couple of notes where she kinda lost it but they were quick, she's following the right path <3

I did not know they were being contantly compared here but okay.

THANKS FOR EVERYONE WHO ANSWERED ^^ The average time people can take is rly 6 minutes long then

how was this?

Eunji and Namjoo singing "Harmony"

I didn't really pay attention to Namjoo, but she strained, what caught my attention was, I think Eunji might really be a Full Lyric after all. Eunji had some bad moments too, I don't have much to say tbh~  lol

I luv SNSD and everything however they are over talked about to the point where it is just rambling the same things that has already been discussed beforehand. Not condemning the experts here but it would really be rational if you just tell the people to use the search. _gangstaer did say that these questions has already been answered and discussed to death so why discuss it again? Tell them to use search. For a group that only has one or two capable vocalist, don't you think they are over talked about? SNSD is popular I get it however there are numerous of other vocalists that are miles better than them that are infrequently talked about. Seriously, their abilities are not particularly broad so idk what else more you can say about them without rambling the same information. I'm done being reticent about this. Discuss something new. All this SNSD talk is sleep inducing. Im mainly talking about the people who asks the SNSD questions. So yes we should move on.

I dont know if anyone noticed, but Taeyeon actually hits an F5 in her belt. Ahmin i think you got the key of the belt wrong by a semitone in her VR. Because im playing it in my piano and it sounds more like C#5-F5-Eb5 than C5-D5-E5.

btw, how was her F5?

Blessica, can u not ignore the quote above pls. This kind of posts srsly... why would u post this, the answer is obvious, and Taeyeon hitting an F5 isn't anything new. If it was that important for u, then u could have just pm'ed ahmin.
