It's not understandable, it's plain stupid.

 

Well Jeon Sooyoung is a Lyric Mezzo. And her exclamations weren't screamed out. I personally wouldn't count them but they are passable in comparison to the G6 and G#6 by Hyorin and Sunny which were both screamed.

I mean they did sound like notes, no doubt, but I just don't count exclamations as a range...and it's understandable because RPG makes it fun LOL but like it's also stupid...

jsuk. when they say she doesn't have a lower range, it's an exaggeration to a point LOL it's not like woops A3, voice stops working, but the voice gets unsupported, the cords are poorly connected and the sound is muffled and quiet.. I mean I get that hey Amber is obviously a lesbian so she must be a low voiced singer LOL but she aint. lol I've heard her singing F#3's and G3's and they were pretty weak...

 

he saw in her what we all see in her but then. life happened and UGH IKR. I mean it's understandable but it's also so stupid.. lol 

 

yes, it's just D.O. tends to be the healthiest because he strains on C5, but he doesn't try to sing higher, whereas Chen and Baekhyun think it's cute to sing E5's and above in mix with a larynx up in heavens. But overall they're all the same.. lol 

 

two things. I'm not good at determining voice types, but would Jeon Soyoung be considered a mezzo? Her voice does get quiet down low, F3 sounds great, but below it's quiet but still sounds connected in a way BUT MY ACTUAL second question is. Above G#5, u included exclamations as notes, would that be considered fair? I personally don't consider exclamations or screams in vocal ranges (except in Jessica's video which was for fun but not in her range really), so why'd you include those?

What I ask myself...constantly about this forum is the constant mention of Jessica.

The girl is irrelevant to the discussion of the voice cause her voice is so limited.

 

 

You like her tone? Ok that is fantastic. Now...What else is there? Besides her "Tone" there is not much left.

The way she is constantly brought up I'd assume she'd have some multiple performances,shown potential, or something...but there is absolutely nothing progressive about her. And if you notice the conversations pertaining to her singing doesn't go anywhere.

 

It's hilarious how some of you guys revel in the 1-2 things her voice is capable of. When in fact there is more things she can't do(Which most vocalist should tbh) then what she can.

 

And from my understanding she barely has any challengeing material to begin with. All difficult parts in SNSD are handled by Taeyeon.

When Jessica achieves open throat, when she has control of dynamics, when she actually show a head voice, sure come and show, but otherwise, let's just stop it. I ain't mentioning names, but y'all know who you are.

 

As for the classes thing, I would like it if you consider yourself a vocal specialist at all, or a leaner, to be keen on specifics. It's much more than just high notes, it's more than range. I mean seriously, y'all be loving that Taeyeon performance where she sang Oh Holy Night, I get it, our baby was sick but she resonated E5, big shit, cuz she was flat and pitchy throughout the whole performance. I don't see anybody commenting on that, which is an important vocal factor. It's more than just, she has a stable larynx above that note, she can resonate there. If she's mask placing her voice, it doesn't matter how high it goes, some people don't have high ranges, but can be very good vocalists overall, and develop their ranges with time. Let's stop with the classifications, Tier 1 2 and 3 make sense, they're average, above average, weak, capable, good or bad vocalists (my own personal terms), that all makes sense. It doesn't matter how much better than another average vocalist Jessica is, she's still average as fuck. We can say why exactly she's better, but bitch ain't "1st Class Mediocre" .. whatever. From Sunny to BoA, they're all pretty average vocalists, pretty much most vocalists sound like that, that's not just Korea, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Rihanna, all them bitches would fall under that category too. (excuse my ghetto talk) Below Sunny, Soyu, Krystal, Minah, are all weak vocalists, they're below average, and above average are those who stand out but aren't really bam in your face. It's an obvious difference, now within their own group, fuck it who's better 1st class, second class or third, they're still not good anyway.

 

I would like it if we just really concentrate on being professional here more than being all fandom-y, not always but mostly, because it's driving many of us away and some people need to really take a second look on their attitude and the way they might consider themselves superior. Be humble and patient with questions and answer them throughoutly, not arrogantly.
