lovely girl but the editing is so obvious on some parts, I don’t get why it’s still needed to edit some live covers.

Price tag was subtle but this one is too obvious and honestly makes it a bit unpleasant.

i always get sad when i see young kids who have so much talent just vanish after getting some exposure when they were younger. She has so much emotion, she was 13 while singing this haha

What is Mia from Everglow's range? Her voice is really pretty and charismatic

Someone already answered about her technical skill but her vocal range(from what i’ve heard) is

F3-F#5-G5

I agree. I do like her approach mix wise better than most average vocalists, and she knows her limits unlike her bandmate who’s always belting too high for her own good. I’d put her above Tiffany/Sunny in the average tier.

Well it’s not that Yeonjung is like; yo just give me high notes. I think the company just knows that that’s something most kpop fans admire when singers can ‘sing’ their heart out.

That’s ultimately why Yeonjung is more recognized as the singer of WJSN

Personally Winter is better than Seulgi imo. At least in the mixed register. She sounds way free-er/open and not as tight as Seulgi in the A4-B4 region. She doesn't struggle with all the tongue tension. Even pass that she sounds better.

And Ningning is definitely not A to AA from what we've heard

I’d still give Seulgi the edge due to her lows being quite a bit more solid, Winter definitely doesn’t have as many issues with the tongue tension i agree on that.

The whole ‘singing live’ thing has never been a good indication of a group’s vocal abilities anyway. I’m not directing that to Twice (their vocal line does the job) but to people assumptions of what great vocals are. Groups like StayC or TXT might sing live but the vocals themselves are... Mediocre at best. I’d rather have a group who lipsyncs from time to time but whose vocalists are actually technically skilled than a group who never lipsyncs but have underwhelming technique.
That being said, people are too hard on Twice. I’ve heard way worse lol

That’s exactly my point, i’ve made a big statement in a video of mine once. I’ve always mentioned that stability doesn’t indicate how good x singer is on a technical aspect.

And i said quite the same as you; i’ve heard way worse but never bashed.

Well he thinks LM is around/better than  Mamamoo... We all know the truth here.

Seulgi of course, Jeongyeon mix is kind of a mystery but I’m not the biggest fan of her Bb4.

I’ve heard Aguilera straining way lower than A4... In the baritone range 😬

Also why is Blackpink here, as far as I know there’s not much to say about them

He adds blackpink because they only added the kpop groups he himself followed i guess.

Also what happened to JYP vocalists ? We had Sunye/Yeeun, 2AM, 15& then Jihyo/Youngjae while average at least sounded like main vocalists and then... Whatever came after with Itzy ‘vocalists’ and Stray Kids. Even that new Japanese gg is very unimpressive.
JYP is not much better than YG when I think about it, they like when their vocalists ‘sound like their speaking voice when they’re singing’... That’s maybe why Yuju never made it lmao

Apparently with Yuju they just said her voice didn’t have much color and didn’t have something that could convey ‘emotions’ which is at the end of the day subjective

Yes exactly. When you're in the average/weak pool, the notes that you can support don't really matter it's more about the consistency of the approach and how good it is. btw I'm not even sure if Rosé supports Bb4s ngl

I agree, i think people mistake alot of her more relaxed Bb’s with support. She had one or two that i have heard with quite a good grasp of support like her A4’s even better.

but in Gone she still has some issues, it’s clean but not always supported for me

Oh do i love this duo, they always deliver such good songs which showcase both their vocal skills and im so here for it!

nice performance, Ariana’s comfort and ease has always been woah to me. A little rasp throughout but her support in the G3-C5 area still quite nice

-Seunghun from CIX

-Lia from ITZY

-Monday from WEEEKLY

Let’s put it all to a rest, we are all very passionate about the technical aspect of singing and how the voice works when we sing.

Let’s focus on that and discuss with maturity, there are people aging from 12 to 21. We should all just be more respectful and try to see one’s side if they truly have good arguments without a rude attitude!

Especially  as the older ones we should give the younger ones a better example of how to discuss!

so, what do you guys think of Red Velvet’s vocals during their 4 encore stages. It’s been a while since we heard Wendy really act like a powerhouse main vocal haha

Loved the D5 at 4:02

Hmm. Wendy did fine but she's singing super light. Does she always sing this way? I remember her being a bit chestier at debut.

Debut has been 7 years ago now haha, she’s overall a light vocalist but she has been singing lighter for the past 2 years i’d say.
