Well, the voice doesn't truly stop maturing to late 20s early 30s so it's very possible for your voice to get heavier or even lighter from here to then. You're what...20..21? Yeah, your voice is still what is considered "young," of course it's not like a teenager or someone who hasn't gone through puberty, but it's still in it's growing stages so take care of it.

I know this is going to sound stupid but i am willing to take the risk anyway .
So i sort of realized that there is a huge difference with my vocals depending on where i am . Like when i am indoor ( at my house ) i can actually add simple runs and sustain notes with vibrato . On the other hand , when i am outside of the house ( at the park or just in front of the house ) , i tend to have a stronger head voice but i loose the agility of my voice . I dont know if this is just me making things up but is that even possible ? Can your voice change depending on your environnement ?
Also , how can you combat nasality even tho your voice is naturally nasal . I always have a cold so their is always something stuffed in my nose , my talking voice is extremely nasal and high pitch , sadly. I dont know if its because i speak french and that's a really nasal language .

Oh yeah , and i would gladly appreciate if someone would analyse a audio of me signing and tell me what i should work on to better myself . I have to sing solo for a friends wedding and im not confident about my voice ( this idiot is forcing me to do it  ) . Thank u to however takes the time to reply .

No, I don't really think that's a thing at least not like that. I understand being in colder/warmer environments can affect how you vocalize, but just singing inside or outside really should matter at all. I was always taught..in psychology that correlation does not mean causation so it's problem that.

Well, no matter what language you sing we all yawn(I yawned while type this) and when you yawn your soft palate goes up no matter what, plain and simple. When you take an effective low breath your soft palate goes up. French isn't as much of a nasal language as it is a very forward language. You don't need to sing with lowered soft palate in order to sing French properly opera vocalist do it all the time. I'm not familiar with French pop music so I don't know any vocalist that I can like name. Think of it like this, Korean isn't a "nasal" language at all, however people like Jessica sing with a lowered soft palate literally all the time whereas someone like Taeyeon sings with a risen soft palate majority of them time. Does that help?

Can someone define Stratospheric in regards to vocals?

quick question, how much of yall think im straight lol

Stratospheric means very high so for girls belting above like G5 or head voice above C6. For guys.. baritones is like belting above like F and for tenors like belting above like A4

I'm nipping this conversation in the bud right now. Stop.

Is one of these Jimin :derp:

//somewhat off topic: I'm like really sick and have a sore throat. Should I completely avoid vocal practice or is it alright to do gentle exercises :derp: Also I hit a G2 for the first time in my life just now :ahmagah: My voice usually disappears at B2 :rlytearpls:

Well it's really not healthy to vocalize with a sore throat because the folds aren't in their best condition so you can risk damage and prolonged soreness. So take it easy and conserve.

Okay I'll do strict vocal rest until I'm better  :ohbi:  I'm still not very good I wouldn't want to damage my instrument before I even start a career  :derp:

I'm not like a doctor so yeah, but yeah, I feel do extensive singing with a sore throat is not smart..it's like walking on a sprained ankle without like a brace or something..

whats the difference of having an extensive mixed voice and stratospheric

I remember Mataytay talking about having an extensive mixed voice is when you can mix/belt higher than the 'natural limit' of your voice type.

eg above F#5/G5 for girls

above C5 for tenors

above G#4/A4 for baritones

Like all/most baritones should be able to hit G4/G#4 right?

You're overthinking it because it's not that real. It's an exaggeration, a hyperbole one might say. It's not really a thing. It's just a word you use when you wanna say something is high.

Who is Mataytay?

So I hear your lead vocalist spot was taken..how was that?

Honestly, the majority, if not all of you have no training or little to no training, therefore the voice type that we think you may be or that you think you may be are actually quite primitive and could very much be inaccurate. Therefore it's best to not well...develop some kind of inferiority or superiority based on what you think right. Worry about applying technique instead.
