How does singer "The One" compare with Park Hyo Shin or Naul?

Fantastic singer...

He's on the same level as Naul and Hyoshin.

Tell them your interest and what you want to do musically.

Things to always look out for during conversations.

*Learning to breath

*Proper placement

They might say it in their own way or something but it's generally the same. Make sure they have some form of music degree.

With my Professor I told him my vocal influences.

Mariah

Whitney

Naul(I showed him naul from BES)

And he knew alot of what he was talking about when we talked about these singers and he mentioned Mariah's speed,Whitney's power, etc.

When I showed him Naul he basically said thats how he is gonna train me to sing with a forward placement. And he said that he will not teach me "Style" That i should develop my own vocal styling on my own.

It was mentioned that alot of vocal instructors teach their students their "stylings" and they become clones. He just said he is there to teach me the proper form of singing. Which is all I want and all you should want too.

Right now I'm trying to make lifting my soft-palette second nature. So we are doing scales with a Happy face. I'm concious of my soft palette but he says I should be conscious of it and it should lift on it's own the minute I sing.

By the way true Diaphramic breathing is a shit ton of work. >.< But it's fun in a way lol.

Thanks a ton, that's such a lot of helpful info!

Wow...Christina is so bad. Even Celine is better then her at creativeness. and that is saying alot.

Josias I have a question for you. Mariah Carey.... she has a very light voice right? I always wonder why she's not able to sustain really high notes like G5's and above and hasn't really been able to sing that high either, like above G5... I mean Aretha and Patti Labelle have yknow heavier voices and still mix much better or well yeah. I just never understood why Mariah doesn't..

I think it is because of her nodules.

^Nodules not nodes.

Mariah... I love her for that. She doesn't need to sustain those high flying notes in order to show she's brilliant.

But I feel like she doesn't do it, cuz she can't. It literally sounds like her voice wouldn't handle it..

There is a difference ?

Yes. Big difference. Nodes are present in everyone, but unless they become enlarged under certain conditions they are harmless.

Maybe because of her nodules.

My favorite JPOP group....now where would they stan against kpop groups since I dont wanna compare them other Jpop girl groups

and out the 4 who would be considered the better vocalist

The first girl to sing was NAGI (hat)....Second one was MIMI......Third one was Nanaka (super pretty one), and Last was Meg

Isn't Nanaka usually considered the best singer? Her range is the widest and she's got the technical stuff down pat, like her whistle register, vibrato etc.

Mimi though has the best voice. Nanaka's is nasally and not my cup of tea...

Nanaka>Mimi>Nagi>Meg (girl really brings down the group imo)

He was Taeyeon's vocal coach! Everyone else in SNSD got stuck with the SME coaches haha, which explains why Taeyeon's leagues ahead of her members

Actually, it's like only pre-debut period. Afterwards she got a worse Kim Jo Han as vocal coach. And I think it's changed again but IDK who.

what do you guys think about Sandi Patti. Shes an amazing gospel singer like Sohyang. She has a lighter and brighter vocal timbre like Jodi Benson.

Me and my parents were just listening to her CD where she was 26, and there was an optimally resonated an E5 and uses mezzo soprano a few times, and 1 head placed note. Im just not bothered finding it.

Yeah lol she trained with The One until after she got set to debut with SNSD, I think?

I wonder how much different her singing would be if she stuck with him

She is not that kind of singer. It's not that she is not capable. She just doesn't feel the need to belt higher then that or sustain notes which are that high. It's more of a stylistic choice.

The belting above G5 tends to be done mostly by Gospel singers anyway.  Heance why Aretha and Patti more willingly go up into that tessitura.

About BRIGHT Shino

You know I stan them so and have all their material. :p

The best singer of the group is a toss up between Nanaka and and Nagi.

Nanaka has the better head placement. But Nagi has the better middle voice.

Nagi belted her ass off here.
