Yeah, on a technical pov it's not working, but I guess it's working for Korea since they love super high notes lol After that the show showed other contestants trying to imitate her and flopping lol For them, that was amazing. imo it's kinda impressive even though it's strained lol

nice DP danhoe

How does Jaejoong sound here?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T34g2cAbtRI
He has a lot of resonant G4s like at. His placement sounds more consistent than im used too.
His A4s sound really nice here technically wise. Like the larynx seems more stable, the placement is carried through and so with support at 0:00-0:05, 0:55, 1:26-1:30, 2:23. 3:15 but the one at 2:30 im not sure

0:30 "was just bout to pick up the phone" (and throughout) is she nasal? Or just twang-y? Stylistic? idk why but I can't gel with her anymore lol

And vt queen <3 comeback when Taeyeon levels up again.

sounds stylistically nasal with a bit of air

THIS IS A BOP THO

Are there any basses in kpop? Side note: I really liked how they used Hongbin's lvoice during the verses of Error. I mean there was a little autotune to make it sound robotic for the concept but yeah. I like how VIXX aren't afraid to sing lower even though most of their fans are female lol.

there are none.

the heaviest so far a baritones

even then hongbin despite being a baritone hit those low notes a lot more like a baritone. Those notes are low even for a baritone but basses would have much better ease

Would you say Seunghee could be considered to be one of the top new gen girl group vocalists along with Yuju and Wendy? Or are Yuju and Wendy still far above her?

After watching Seunghee on girl spirit she was so good that I thought she could be close to those two but are Wendy and Yuju still far ahead or is Seunghee really underrated?

She ties with IOI/WJSN yeonjung, WJSN dawon

She tweeted about it a couple of months or so back~ It's a good thing she speaks english~ Seriously anticipating improvement to competent to good from her this comeback

Lowkey part of me wishes a lot of idols can find their analyses so they know their strengths and areas that need articular improvement

How were seohyun's and or seulgi's C5s from 1:14-1:37 & 2:30-2:50

im guessing some of them had some tension, too heady but generally supported.

Also, is there support in this D5 AT 2:47

Average to Above Average, supports from G3 ~ B4, produces resonance occasionally. Agility is pretty nice, improved her lower range but has seen a massive decline in her mixed voice from younger years. Used to be able to produce resonance with consistency up to C5/C#5 when she was 13, but then she declined when she became Cat in Victorious and started adopting bad speech habits that carried over to her singing, but then she started opening up and improving again but has been pretty much stagnant. Strains everything now from C5 to B5, with tongue tension and a high larynx.

Although Ken does not have a very well developed lower range, his overall support is consistent and safe throughout his one octave of supported range, which pretty much defines an average vocalist. For many Sopranos, there are some who support lower than others but the mixed voice part up to Bb4/B4 is what defines them as average, alongside their support. Ken has a very nice sense of support, if anything he's a lot safer as an average vocalist than some other average vocalists I've analyzed. Kevin, Youngjae and for sure Jun.K would be a lot more likely to be rated weak to average than Ken, but they all make the average rating, although they may be less consistent than Ken.

Baek Yerin never truly went up, she was analyzed and considered an AA to C vocalist, always. She was only considered mediocre when ..well "the others" didn't listen to her properly and called her that back in 2013/2014, before Pandayeu actually analyzed her.

Well you can have no support, shallow support or inconsistent support..then you have a more safe and consistent support and then it becomes a question of where it's consistent and why certain issues happen, where in their voices and whatnot.

i mean she supports up to Bb4....not as well when its sustained but she does have her moments!

1:22 nicely supported Bb4 <3

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2q52yDrpjU

nah not during Mr Mr. The few months I was talking about was during party-lion comebacks, she was not mixing the Eb5s in Party, and in their sketchbook performance of ITNW it was like her voice gave out during the B4-C#5, also in random performances you could tell she was not in a good condition like in this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juLZjspelGU , also their

conecrts during that time in 2015 she was not mixing a lot of her high notes, most notably MrMr etc. I mean we know she CAN mix them (albeit strained) when her vocal condition is good, people see these performances and think she's bad. There's also earlier, during their Tokyo Dome concert, she messed up quite a bit with cracks and straingled(omg typo but it looks like a combination of strain + strangled so im keeping it LOL) high notes, and this was right after jessica left so all eyes were on them (she cracked on jessica's part that she covered on Divine I think so of course the haters dragged her to no end for that)

I dont really say this but Tiffany has one of my favourite voices in KPOP. I like hers more than Taeyeon's.

Well..not sure about Choa, but Ailee, Son Seungyeon and Solji are all way more skilled than her. Sia essentially yells when she belts and doesn't support her voice she's also very throaty...I'm not 100% knowledgeable about her voice, but I listen to her enough to know that she definitely isn't anything above a low average...like at all.

i know aly said SIA is worse than Choa, i kinda understand why

About Asthma and singing; my teacher gave us an article about the physical and emotional benefits of singing. First off, singing is actually an aerobic activity because it increases the amount of blood oxygenation and also exercises your muscles in the upper body, secondly singing can actually help those that suffer from asthma because of the heavy emphasis singing puts on proper breathing crucial to those who suffer from asthma. That being said, asthma still does affect the singing because the breathing apparatus is in fact compromised, however singing can help with these limitations because it will strengthen the muscles and improve breathing habits.

Hope this helps.

Are you talking about the person with the condition concurrently suffering from an asthma attack while singing?
