Oh, I don't know about SG Wannabe or anything, sorry.  (I suppose they haven't, since they did release something in 2011.)  But I suppose their members have to be enlisting soon if they haven't already?

 

(Er, and I was referring to the old girlgroups, since I thought we were talking about that. XD)

Now that I think about it some more, any good solo male idols would automatically be better than idols in a group cuz 1/1 is 100%!!! Hahaha. Even if you have a group with 3/5 great singer who are better than that 1 good singer. LOL 

 

Or say let's say 1 good singer out of 2 (Group 1). 50% compared to a group with 2 great singers out of 5 (group 2) = 40% 

So group 1 would be >>> group 2, even though talent wise, group 2 have 2 better singers.

 

How does doing this make any sense??

 

I can do this all day LOL.

Not really.  If you were doing this for real, you wouldn't just count 1 good/decent singer as one singer, you'd give them a score that reflects their actual level of ability.  And then you take the average of the scores for everyone in the group and compare that to the soloist (or the average of another group).

 

But these ppl can barely shuffle ppl around inside tiers, much less assign number grades. 

 

(Also, rather than straight averages, one may want to weigh each by how much/little they sing.)

So the point is to focus on the talents of the singers anyway. What is the point of a useless ratio then?? Plus, who is to decide the point system and how such a scoring would take place? As far as I know, when people rely on the ratio argument, none of this is factored.

No one really uses the ratio argument, though.  At least not in this thread.  Ppl in the thread usually only look at the vocal line anyway.

It was just because someone wanted to compare SM groups against each other, and I guess Jaejoong and Chen are perceived as being sort of equivalent within their groups.  (Like, Junsu I guess is best, so it was Junsu vs. D.O, then Jaejoong vs. Chen, then so on down the line....)  Not because Chen and Jaejoong are otherwise perceived as being similar, I think.

I'm not really a fan of listening to choirs but I really enjoyed this, it was beautiful

 

lol I've been in a choir (maybe more than one?) with uniforms exactly like that. XD  Though I guess selection is limited for things that look reasonably good on various body types, appropriate for different occasions, and are budget-friendly....

How about that throat singing! It's a singing style of Mongolians that allows you to sing two notes at once using overtones.

 

My high school choir (not these guys, obviously) performed this once.  I got a super-boring droning part, though. XD  I can bring out overtones but they're really basic and I can't do them on a syllable that's not like "neeeer" XD

Pfft. But hasn't the heroin progressively degraded his voice? So just in chronological order, and then I assume Stone Temple Pilots With Chester Bennington >> whatever is current.

Ahh Chester and Chris Cornell u_u As a Rock fan, I'd say Chester's better (damn I love this guy LOL). But interms of vocal techniques, he is far from healthy, therefore I'd say Chris sings healthier.

 

GO is better than Woohyun. But Seungho drags MBLAQ down more than Sungyu drags Infinite LOL

Global Icon. Aram is the lead singer. It's the only legit kpop/hip hop girl group imo. Also they're androgynous and sexy! They're part of a no-name company though. 

 

Still so much autotune... was pretty groovy, though.
