She's considered "good" because her mix is good, other than that she really isn't that great..her lower register has about as much support as KPOP idols and her head voice is meh, and whistle is extremely tense. So it is only really her mix that makes her good. She tries to do more than she is capable of. She's like good at mixing, but she isn't as musical as she thinks she is.. But she's not a bad vocalist either. ty all. i didn't think she was great or anything, but she's pretty decent and only 19, so it'll be fun to see her grow hopefully. i only discovered her yesterday lol. Well he is the best vocalist probably,I know many people with actual knowledge about vocals think so, but for me he lacks emotion. Like. So much. He can sing ballads all amazingly all he wants I'm never touched :/ Which is why in SJ I still prefer Yesung over him. (Then again, unlike vocal techniques, delivery and reception of emotions is a question of personal preference, just like voices. But I've honestly never met a person that said Kyuhyun's singing MOVES them.) LOL I agree on Taeyeon (but who doesn't) but then the line gets all blurry for me when it comes to Sica/Seo/Fany...and I would place Sunny lower. But then again I'm only judging based on preference xDD I guess the others aren't even worth mentioning then? XD hello~ i find kyu's singing beautiful. it touches my heart tbh. yeah he's not particularly lively on stage, but just closing my eyes and listening to him is enough to move me. kyu won the show a couple of times during his short time on is2 too, so even people that don't know him well can be moved by him. 4 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you were not born with the ability to sing, with technique, there is a chance you could learn to carry a tune and hit certain notes. There is a chance you could sing different genres, sing on key and not fall flat or sharp. However like I've said numerous times, technique does not give you talent and ability. Going back to Kai, he could very much learn to do all of these things, but guess what? He's still going to be mediocre because he doesn't have TALENT in singing. If mediocre is what you, Ahmin, aim for, then yeah, ok. If you were not gifted with a good voice or the capability to have a good voice, technique is not going to make you a Celine or Whitney. It's going to make you more of a Justin Bieber or Taylor Swift. no one comes out of the womb a good vocalist though. they become good because they learn good technique. those that we would consider talented/gifted are those who are able to improve their technique more easily and quickly. However there are people who are born with good voices. I've heard children as young as 6 & 7 showcase talent in singing. As they get older and learn technique they become better(!!!). According to your logic, if Kai is able to improve his singing technique easily and quickly, you would consider him a gifted singer? His singing has already improved since the MAMA EP which means in the span of a year, he was able to learn technique. He is gifted to you? these 6 or 7 year olds probably picked some things up due their environment e.g. parental influence, choir, having a lot whitney played in the home, etc. kai showing some improvement (idk if he has tbh) doesn't mean he's gifted. pm everyone will show some improvement with enough practice. if you're showing a huge amount very quickly then i would say you're probably quite gifted. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
