Synopsis

 

In the summer of 1995, childhood friends Zheng Ren Wei and Lin Jia En took their college entrance exam. Zheng got into a college in Taipei and was ready to start an exciting life in the big city. Lin, unfortunately, failed the test and was stuck in the countryside. Bored out of her mind, Lin decided to go find Zheng and spend her 4th year of high school in Taipei as well.

i dropped it. Characters are stupid, dense, and blind. Main guy has no personality either. 

 

It was cute at first but lost it's charm to me.

No but really the characters are realistic and let go of the usual drama archetypes and that's nice. I wouldn't say Liu Chuan has no personality, i'd say he's too restrained (becomes obvious when you learn about his relationship with his father) and lego lee can look a bit bland sometimes tbh.

yes i've seen ppl say that it doesn't do the normal drama cliches but i disagree and that they do all of them. It's just that it's done in a more realistic way. The drama isn't done like an idol drama so it's less cheesy but it's all there really. Not that this was why i stopped watching, because it wasn't. 

 

It still is cheesy btw. Let's not pretend it's not because it is.

that's fine. I did really like it at first. But it just lost it's charm to me is all.

i don't really remember the ep number or what was happening. She already knew who his dad was at the time. I remember the stupid guy forced everybody to help him with his paper and almost made them waste their effort because he missed the deadline. 

 

I don't know if that's what happened in the last ep i watched or not but that's all i'm remembering right now. So somewhere around there i guess.

here's the thing though, i gave it multiple shots. I actually stopped watching it after ep 7. Then i gave it another shot and watched 8. I stopped watching it again after that. I decided to give it one last shot and watched ep 9. So unless it has changed, i'm most likely not going to like it if i do try watching it again.

Fair enough

But I found the storyline with the teacher chang fei or smth interesting but the drama doesn't really change, it's still the same but with different themes and focuses

I thought Bai Xue looked really weird at first, but she looks better the more I see her. Well, having her hair down does her wonders. I thought she looked like an elven character from a high-fantasy series in the first two episodes when the show was set in 1995.

Same, but she really grows on you. Both in character and attractiveness. She's also much prettier in the off dramas pics I've seen!
