It's "Muslim" not "Islamic" please use the correct term. And stop assuming that all Muslims are homophobic when only some of them are.

Many young Muslims aren't homophobic, they're the ones who are speaking out about discrimination. You shouldn't generalize based on a few, cause the same could be said for homophobic Christians like Bill O'reily who complain about those who discriminate against white santa yet discriminates against minorities. ohdearplz.png

People who practice Islam are called Muslims. And no Islam doesn't embrace LGBT. It's considered a sin but it's also frowned upon to be homophobic. A lot of modern day/21st century Muslims however do support and embrace the LGBT community.

No why should we be called hypocrites when we're trying to follow the our religion.  There is no such thing as homosexuality in Islam. There is only marriage and love between a woman and a man.

The user obviously got his point across. To answer your question, yes they are. It is not that "some" that don't accept it and the majority does but it is the other way around. Some, especially those from western countries are more open minded and accepting, however, the majority are not. I'm from the middle east, realistically you will be shunned, be severely punished and even killed in some cases. Those who say otherwise, say it as a coverup tbh. It's sad that people can't discuss such issues without them being labeled as islamaphobes.

That shouldn't justify discriminating LGBT people and even going as far as to throw gay people over rooftops

Just as bad as those that condone Muslim women getting stoned and such for damn there anything

Islam is supposed to be the religion of peace. And while there are many that actually live by that, there are many that don't and use Islam to do the exact opposite

Well if the law of the land states homosexuality if wrong than I guess people should follow the laws.

Thank you for asking~

Homosexuality is forbidden in Islam. But in Holy Quran 'For you is your religion and for me is my religion' (109:6) and 'Let there be no compulsion in religion (2:256). Meaning while Muslims practising their beliefs, Muslims are not suppose to force non-muslims to accept Islamic beliefs. No one should be threatened or harmed in any way if the person does not wish to accept Islam. So no, Muslims are not supposed to be homophobic, instead they are teach to respect other people with different religion.

from a western point of view, yes theyd be ypocritical. not from a Strict muslim perspective

I dont know why some Middle Eastern countries take shunning gays to the extent that they do. i dont know where in the Quran its allowed for that behaviour

but the Middle East and their corruption is another story
