Sailor Mars 1,981 Posted July 23, 2017 Share Posted July 23, 2017 I loved it, loved the visuals in the movie, it was really beautiful, I was surprised with how good it was and was impressed! I rate it 8/10 I actually really liked the structure of the movie and how Nolan focused on the event and not the characters! Thinking about it hours after I've watched it now that it's settled in, I've changed my mind, it was very intense and deep, maybe not as deep as i'd like it but it's a real story and made me realize how fucked that situation was.. The soundtrack was amazing and I loved that in scenes u could hear a clock ticking and depending on the scene, the faster it went, it really got me into it. And the scene with Tom Hardy (the last scene he is in) was very important, that showed the soldiers mindset. he risked himself so the Germans couldn't get intel from the plane (that's why he set it on fire) like shit thats deep.... I also loved how Peter (blond kid) told Cillian he didn't kill George so he would be less traumatized by the events that just occurred to him even though he was angry and sad, that took a lot. I loved how it showed different perspectives and really focused on that, when Harry Styles' character, at the end, was disappointed and ashamed because of them evacuating and felt that others would be too, was great. I mean, seems like some viewers expecting a Saving Private Ryan Christopher Nolan's version. We already have plenty films like that, give chance to another approach to the theme.
