Ulmicola 1,981 Posted July 20, 2017 Share Posted July 20, 2017 It's a pity she dropped out of the mainstream after a couple of albums, with a voice like hers she could've become as relevant as Robbie Williams. The problem with their solo careers, in my opinion, is that the group went out with a whimper - when they disbanded in 2000, they were a shadow of their old selves, and almost no one cared. If between 1998 and 2000 they had managed themselves better - no members leaving, no taking a whole year off because of marriages, pregnancies and solo projects, no drastic genre shift in their third album that made them sound like a cheap version of Destiny's Child, etc. - they could've disbanded while being adored by everyone, and their solo careers would've benefited from it. Simon Fuller may have been as brutal as a K-Pop CEO, but after they fired him, they made a string of bad decisions that ended up dooming them.
