It's being a while since I suspect I may have some degree of Aspergers Syndrome but I keep thinking it's just me!, because who wants to be so dramatic to think of themselves with some form of autism, specially if you'r functional; please do this test and tell me how you scored ohbi.png

I got 10!

I have autism, and I got a 28:

"26-31 gives a borderline indication of an autism spectrum disorder. It is also possible to have aspergers or mild autism within this range."

Ty!, I got 28 but I didn't wanted to tell beforehand so I didn't partialized with anyone's results, I also don't kwon how accurate it's an online test, I probably should go a check with a doctor, but that implies a lot of complications in my life right now

Yeah,I definitely think you should check with a doctor, but online tests can be good to just test things out first. I don't know how accurate it is either, I thought I'd score a little higher than 10 tbh.

Autism is a spectrum. Everyone has some degree of it. Even if you score high, as long as it doesn't disturb your daily life, no intervention needed.

Yeah, if possible seeing a professional and getting their diagnosis or lack of diagnosis is always best I would say. I was diagnosed by a psychologist who was recommended to me by another psychologist because they thought I had autism, but they wanted me to see a psychologist who was more knowledgeable on the specific subject.

Yes, I should at some point I guess; do you get any treatment?, or just therapy ?

People often get mad at me for being blunt and "not sensitive enough", I think my frankness with everything could be a lack of understanding in other's peoples views of the world

Well, my problems are mostly social/communication issues. I did go to a place that helps improve social skills for awhile. That's why I'm currently volunteering at the library, to get comfortable helping people and talking to people I guess. That has gotten easier actually. The whole process was kind of interesting. One of the first things they did was show me pictures of faces and have me say the emotion the person was displaying. That was easy for me; telling others' emotions always has been easy. Then the issue of eye contact was discussed. I realized I can easily make eye contact, it's just that I never saw the point of it. I can understand emotion from voice, so looking at someone's face didn't seem relevant, but I'm better with eye contact now anyway. Then, another issue is bluntness. One example is when my mom dyed her hair, got a new purse, or such and asked me what I thought, and I would tell her that I didn't like it or thought it looked ugly. Then she got mad at me, but I never understood why because she had asked me for my opinion, and I had simply been answering her question. I learned that you should give vague answers in those cases, so that you don't have to lie. You can just say, "It looks interesting." Or something like that. Yeah, most things for me are/were focused on improving communication and social skills.
