I didn't want to wait till then because that's too long and its lay off season in the industry that I am in. I started applying only. Filled out an application one night, got a call the next morning, went to an interview a day after and yesterday I got hired. I had to give a letter of resignation to my current employer and tell my co-workers that I will be leaving in 2 weeks. Some of them took it very hard, cause you get used to people if you work with them for so long. Adulting can be tough and hard, but you have to grab every opportunity you get by the horns. The feeling that I feel is relief. I am very content with my life right now. I'm also very proud of myself because this is the 1st job that I got completely on my own without any connections to anyone. Having to sell yourself in an interview is the hardest thing to do. Especially when you are being interviewed by someone who has decades of experience in the industry. You never know what questions the interviewer will ask you, aside from the typical interview questions. This interview was with 3 different people and they all interviewed me at the same time. I also talk with my hands a lot so it was hard for me to stay composed and not be flailing my hands around while explaining my employment history. After the interview was finished I felt very confident that I will get the position, and I felt a connection with the head of the department and the GM. We just clicked, our personalities matched.
